Gizelle Bryant Says She Misses Karen Huger’s Wild 3 a.m. ‘Drunk Calls’ Amid Her Recent DUI
The cast of Real Housewives of Potomac hasn’t shied away from discussing Karen Huger’s recent DUI, with Gizelle Bryant leading the conversation and sharing her own thoughts on Karen’s actions. Gizelle, known for her sharp commentary, joked about Karen’s history of making “drunk calls” at 3 a.m., hinting that these calls have been a staple despite Karen’s legal troubles.
Since her DUI arrest earlier this year, Real Housewives of Potomac star Karen Huger has cut back on her infamous “drunk calls” to Gizelle Bryant—something Gizelle actually misses. “I actually miss them,” Gizelle joked, referring to the late-night calls as “a lot of fun.”
RHOP Season 9 premiered on October 6, kicking off with Gizelle checking in on her friend Karen. In early March, Karen was charged with DUI after a car accident involving her Maserati just a few miles from her home. Although Karen has kept most details of the incident private, her reputation for drunk-dialing has remained a hot topic among the cast.
Gizelle shared with Page Six, “We get a lot of three o’clock in the morning drunk calls from Karen. You never know what you’re going to hear; you never know what she’s going to say.”
In an October 27 episode, Mia Thornton claimed that Karen “butt-dialed” her after a night out in D.C., suggesting Karen might have been with another man.
Mia said she could hear a man’s voice on the call, fueling rumors of Karen’s alleged past fling with her “driver,” known among the cast as “Blue Eyes.”
Gizelle, however, dismissed the speculation, saying, “I think we’ve moved past Blue Eyes.”
Despite the drama, Gizelle praised Karen’s husband, Ray Huger, for his unwavering support. “Ray is always extremely supportive of her,” she said, adding, “I’m happy she has him.”
Karen recently addressed the DUI chatter, expressing disappointment on Watch What Happens Live over her castmates discussing her legal issues. In July, Karen asked a judge to dismiss the case, but prosecutors opposed the motion, and a final ruling has yet to be made.
The Real Housewives of Potomac airs Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo.
