Heather Gay Switches Her Story on Black Eye AGAIN—Did Jen Shah Really Cause It?
Heather Gay’s black-eye saga has taken another turn, adding to the mystery surrounding the infamous incident from The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 3.
The popular RHOSLC star, once beloved for her candor, faced backlash after defending Jen Shah, who ultimately pleaded guilty to a telemarketing scheme and is now serving her sentence. But it was Heather’s mysterious black eye from a cast trip that has kept fans guessing, especially as her story appears to keep changing.
Initially, Heather claimed she didn’t remember how she got the black eye, saying she’d had too much to drink and woke up injured. Later, she suggested Jen Shah might have been involved, even telling Andy Cohen, “I knew I’d gotten it from Jen… I didn’t know how, but I knew I’d gotten it from Jen.”
Heather described Jen coming to her room, asking, “Did I give that to you?” to which Heather replied, “Don’t worry. I’ll cover.”
Now, according to The Los Angeles Times, Heather’s version of events has shifted yet again. Heather reportedly said she doesn’t recall the incident herself and that it was actually Jen who informed her about how she got the injury.
Heather also revealed her upbringing in the Mormon Church influenced her reluctance to speak out against others, adding, “It taught me to protect everybody but myself.”
Jen Shah, however, was quick to deny any involvement, responding on Instagram, “BRAVO, if I punched Heather in her eye, you guys would have footage to prove it.” She implied that if there was no footage, it didn’t happen — although it’s possible cameras were down that night.
With many fans hoping for clarity, it’s unclear whether Heather will shed more light on the incident during the RHOSLC reunion. The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
