Emily Simpson Reveals Shannon Beador’s Rude Behavior Toward Crew Members!
Emily Simpson shared her thoughts on Real Housewives of Orange County co-star Shannon Beador’s recent drama with Love Hotel host Joel Kim Booster during an appearance on Scheana Shay’s Scheananigans podcast, revealing she’s “Team Shannon” while addressing Joel’s comments and Shannon’s past behavior.
Reflecting on past interactions, Emily, 48, admitted she had witnessed Shannon, 60, treating staff poorly, though it was years ago. “Yes, but that was a long time ago,” Emily shared on the October 18 episode. “It’s been many, many years since I’ve seen or witnessed that.”
Despite Joel’s recent claims labeling Shannon a “pathetic drunk” and accusing her of mistreating crew members, Emily stood by her co-star, sharing, “Honestly, for the past four or five years, I’ve seen her be nothing but overly generous, like cooking for the crew, including them in things.”
Emily further revealed that she’d consulted with a producer from Love Hotel to clarify Shannon’s behavior on set.
“I also know a producer that was on the show with her, and I asked him, ‘Was Shannon, like, out of control?’ And he goes, ‘No. Absolutely not,’” she recalled.
Emily voiced her disapproval of Joel’s actions, saying, “I thought it was very unprofessional for the host of a show to go onto Instagram and blast a cast member about an upcoming show and say the things that he did. I thought that was completely out of line and unprofessional.”
Emily has been solidly in Shannon’s corner, especially in light of her recent friction with Alexis Bellino, who re-entered the RHOC circle after getting engaged to Shannon’s ex, John Janssen.
“I was Team Shannon when we were filming. I wasn’t just Team Shannon because the viewers were Team Shannon,” she clarified. “[Gina Kirschenheiter] and I were Team Shannon the whole time before we ever knew what was gonna happen because when we were in it, we were like, ‘What the f*ck? This is too much.’”
RHOC season 18 airs Thursdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
