Vicki Gunvalson Claims Tamra Judge is ‘Making a Mockery’ of Autism
Vicki Gunvalson is not holding back her feelings about Real Housewives of Orange County co-star Tamra Judge’s recent claim of being diagnosed with autism.
In a fiery social media post, the RHOC alum accused Tamra of using the diagnosis to gain sympathy, even drawing comparisons to her ex-boyfriend Brooks Ayers, who infamously faked having cancer.
Tamra’s revelation that a therapist diagnosed her with autism after a single session sparked a wave of backlash. Many fans and RHOC co-stars expressed doubt over the claim, accusing Tamra of using the diagnosis to deflect criticism and avoid accountability for her actions. Leading the charge was Vicki, who took to Instagram to voice her outrage.
“This is disgusting and shame on her,” Vicki wrote. She then made a direct comparison to her ex, Brooks Ayers, who was at the center of a scandal for falsely claiming he had cancer. “She’s looking for attention and sympathy – it’s no different than Brooks saying he had cancer for sympathy and lying to me,” Vicki continued.
Vicki didn’t stop at calling out Tamra’s behavior.
She went on to suggest that Tamra’s actions indicate a deeper issue, saying, “She needs psychological help and needs to stop making a mockery of being ‘on the spectrum’ or having Autism.”
In addition to questioning the legitimacy of Tamra’s autism diagnosis, Vicki also took aim at her emotional displays on the show, hinting that they were insincere. “Her tears were fake,” Vicki alleged, casting doubt on Tamra’s vulnerable moments on RHOC.
During a recent episode of her podcast My Friend, My Soulmate, My Podcast, Vicki shared more about her feelings toward Tamra.
“And I don’t want to be filming with her ever again.” Given their ongoing tension, it seems the feeling is mutual, though Tamra is currently holding an orange, while Vicki is no longer on the show.
Vicki further elaborated on her decision to distance herself from Tamra, explaining, “I stepped back from Tamra because I didn’t like the way she was treating people.” In a moment of irony, Vicki, known for her own confrontational style, added, “That’s not who I want my clients or my family to think I’m friends with.”
