Brandi Speaks Out on Her Podcast

On the latest episode of her Unfiltered podcast, her first since May, Brandi expressed her frustrations regarding the franchise’s current state. “We’ve seen it. We’ve seen it all. There’s not much more we can do. Everyone now is suing everyone,” she said, summing up the tumultuous environment surrounding the series.

Legal Troubles Escalate

The legal troubles escalated following a lawsuit filed by Caroline Manzo, a prominent figure from The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Caroline claims that producers encouraged Brandi to behave inappropriately during the filming of  Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip. In her court documents, Caroline alleged that Brandi sexually assaulted her — a claim Brandi has categorically denied.

Brandi’s Own Legal Battles

Adding to the turmoil, Brandi has initiated her own legal action against Bravo’s executive producer, Andy Cohen, for sexual harassment. This suit revolves around a video Andy Cohen filmed with Below Deck star Kate Chastain, in which he jokingly suggested that Brandi watch them engage in sexual activities. Andy Cohen has characterized the video as a lighthearted joke, but the incident has contributed to Brandi’s ongoing legal battles.

Contracts Under Scrutiny

On her podcast, Brandi shared her insights about the contracts that Housewives stars are required to sign, suggesting they offer little protection for cast members. “So [if] you’re gonna go on Housewives, you’re not gonna say a damn word,” she remarked. “And all that shows me is clearly … our contracts don’t protect us.”

She elaborated on the conversations she’s had with her attorneys about the contracts, noting:

“All of my lawyers have said over the years, like, ‘Who would sign this?’” Reflecting on her own decision to sign, she admitted, “I guess people that just want to be on TV, like myself, because I didn’t have any other prospects of jobs.”

Ongoing Legal Woes Among Castmates

Brandi also touched upon the ongoing legal woes of her former castmates, specifically referencing Tamra Judge.

Tamra’s getting sued now supposedly by one of the husbands of a cast member,” Brandi stated, alluding to Jennifer Pedranti’s boyfriend, Ryan Boyajian, who has indicated he may sue Tamra after she claimed on Watch What Happens Live that he stole money from a baseball player. “You can’t make reality TV if you can’t say s**t without getting sued,” she quipped.

Uncertain Future for *Real Housewives

As the legal drama continues to unfold, the future of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills remains precarious. The new season is anticipated to air later this year or in early 2025, but the controversies surrounding Glanville’s participation in *Ultimate Girls Trip* may leave the unaired season in limbo.

Brandi’s Legal Struggles Continue

In a twist of fate, Brandi recently revealed that her lawyers have dropped her amid her own lawsuit against the network, leaving her in a vulnerable position as she navigates these complex legal waters.
