Martha Stewart Reveals Secret Affair During Her Marriage to Ex-Husband Andrew Stewart

Martha Stewart has always been an open book when it comes to her business empire, but now the 83-year-old lifestyle icon is sharing a bombshell about her personal life. In the upcoming Netflix documentary “Martha,” which is set to debut on October 30, Stewart confessed to having an affair during her 26-year marriage to ex-husband Andrew Stewart, RadarOnline.com has learned.

Martha Stewart’s Affair Confession

In the documentary trailer, Stewart didn’t hold back while discussing infidelity, scolding men who cheat on their wives and calling them “pieces of s—.” But in a twist, Stewart admitted to her own affair during her marriage, though she defended her actions because, according to her, Andrew never found out.

“Listen to my advice: If you’re married and your husband starts to cheat on you, he’s a piece of s—. Get out of that marriage,” Stewart advised women.

When a producer asked her about her own affair, Stewart responded casually, “Yeah, but I don’t think Andy ever knew about that.”

A Look Back at Martha and Andrew’s Marriage

Martha and Andrew Stewart were married in 1961 while he was studying law at Yale University. They welcomed their daughter, Alexis, in 1965. During the early years of their marriage, Martha worked as a stockbroker and began building the foundation of her now-legendary career.

In the mid-1970s, the couple moved to Westport, Connecticut, where they purchased a 19th-century farmhouse that Martha restored. The home would later become the iconic set for her television show, Martha Stewart Living. As Martha’s career took off, she launched a catering business and published her first cookbook “Entertaining,” in 1982. Meanwhile, Andrew made strides in the publishing industry.

Despite their success, the couple separated in 1987 and finalized their divorce in 1990 after nearly three decades of marriage.

Andrew Stewart’s Life After Divorce

Andrew moved on quickly after their divorce, marrying Robyn Fairclough, Martha’s former assistant, who was 21 years younger than him. That marriage ended in divorce, and Andrew later remarried for the third time to Shyla Nelson, CEO of Fieldstone Publishing.

Meanwhile, Martha, who has not remarried, had an on-and-off relationship with billionaire Charles Simonyi for 15 years.

Martha Reflects on Her Divorce

In a 2020 interview with People, Stewart opened up about her feelings toward her divorce from Andrew.

“Getting divorced was a terrible thing for me because we were the first to divorce in my family,” she admitted. “And that we haven’t spoken since the divorce is even more painful. But I’m very strong, and I’m very motivated to get on with life.”

Snoop Dogg Playing Matchmaker?

While Martha hasn’t settled down with anyone since her divorce, her close friend Snoop Dogg has reportedly stepped in to help her find love. According to sources, the rapper has been trying to set her up on dates, baffled that she hasn’t found a new partner yet.

“Snoop can’t understand why a beautiful soul like Martha hasn’t snagged a guy when she looks so great and much younger than her age,” insiders revealed. “He’s doing a search of all his contacts to try to come up with some dates and helping Martha get out more.”

The source added, “It’s good for Martha to get out. She spends too much time by herself. She is too proud to complain, but it can’t be nice making dinner for one all the time.”
