Lisa Barlow FIRES BACK at Rumors She’d ‘Quit’ Over Monica Garcia: ‘It’s My Show’
Lisa Barlow isn’t holding back, slamming rumors that she’d ever “quit” Real Housewives of Salt Lake City over Monica Garcia.
During an appearance on the Scheananigans podcast, Lisa was asked who in the cast might be open to reconnecting with Monica. “Whitney, cause they’re alike,” Lisa said, referencing her co-star Whitney Rose. “In [certain] areas, they’re 100 percent [alike].”
The conversation then turned to the rumors that Lisa and Heather Gay played a role in keeping Monica from returning to the show, with claims that Lisa threatened to leave if Monica came back. Lisa quickly shut down the speculation.
“It’s my show. I’m not quitting. I helped bring it to Utah,” she said. “I don’t have that power. If I had that power, I would have a better edit season one through now… I’m getting accused of everything I don’t do. It’s annoying.”
Lisa also responded to claims that Monica had spied on Jen Shah using her security system. Monica, a former friend and employee of Jen’s, was accused of eavesdropping after their friendship ended. Lisa shared a revealing moment with a mutual friend of Monica’s, stating,
“I ran into one of her friends and I said, ‘Did Monica ever log into Jen’s security system and listen to her?’ They literally responded with, ‘How did you know?’”
Lisa claimed there was “proof with videos” that Monica had been accessing Jen’s system and added, “When you’re logging into someone’s security system and doing drive-bys of their house, that’s so invasive. Those are the things Monica couldn’t get away from, and she couldn’t say, ‘I’m sorry.’ She did not take any accountability.”
Finally, Lisa called out Monica for labeling her “ugly” during the reunion, expressing frustration over their interactions. “She was hard to deal with,” Lisa said. “It was easier to have a conversation with my 12-year-old than Monica.”
