Monica Garcia BLASTS Lisa Barlow for Calling Jen Shah ‘Harmless’
Monica Garcia isn’t holding back when it comes to slamming Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Lisa Barlow for calling Jen Shah “harmless” despite the convicted fraudster’s crimes.
Jen, who pleaded guilty to running a telemarketing scheme targeting the elderly, is currently serving time in prison. However, Lisa recently revealed she’s been in contact with Jen, much to Monica’s frustration.
Lisa recently mentioned her occasional communication with Jen, joking, “You know, Jen’s crazy, but she’s harmless at the end of the day—unless you’re elderly,” as she laughed.
Monica, however, wasn’t amused by Lisa’s remarks. In an video, Monica called out the insensitivity of Lisa’s comments, especially given Jen’s history of defrauding vulnerable seniors. “That’s something very real that happened. You can eff all the way off,” Monica said. “It’s very relevant to me because it cost me my job.”
Garcia also highlighted the hypocrisy she sees within the group, explaining that her co-stars claimed she reminded them of Shah’s behavior, which was one of the reasons they refused to film with her.
Yet, she pointed out, Barlow casually laughed off Jen’s actions. “Then you go on a podcast and say she’s harmless … unless you’re elderly,” Monica said, mocking Lisa’s laugh.
“So, you don’t want to film with me because I remind you of a harmful person, but you’re texting that person in prison talking about being friends when she’s out,” Monica continued. “Harmless. I mean, did she assault your friend or not?” she questioned, referencing the ongoing speculation that Jen Shah may have been responsible for Heather Gay’s black eye during last season’s drama.
With the tension building, Monica sarcastically added, “Was Jen the reason for the black eye? I don’t know. All I know is I had to sit there for three parts of a reunion listening to it, and that’s why I shouldn’t come back. But she’s harmless. She’s crazy but she’s harmless.”
