Shannon Beador SHUTS DOWN Alexis Bellino’s Olive Branch at 60th Birthday – ‘It’s Too Late for That!’
Shannon Beador wasn’t having it when Alexis Bellino tried to extend an olive branch on the October 3rd episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County.
As Shannon celebrated her 60th birthday with a tea party, a thoughtful gift from Alexis wasn’t the bridge she wanted to build. The drama unfolded as the ladies gathered around to witness Shannon read a card from Alexis, who was noticeably absent from the celebration.
A Gift That Wasn’t Welcomed
As Shannon opened the card, she read the message aloud to the group: “Happy 60th. I genuinely hope this olive branch can bring you a fresh start as you begin this new decade. May god bless you with happiness and good health on this milestone.” The message came with a bouquet of flowers, complete with an olive branch, symbolizing a gesture of peace.
However, Shannon wasn’t ready to forgive or forget. “It’s nine weeks too late,” she explained to the group, clearly unimpressed by the attempt at reconciliation. “I feel like there’s been a lot of unkind things done, and I have no interest in being friendly with her. I don’t think anyone in my position would feel differently.”
John Janssen’s Influence?
Shannon didn’t stop there. She speculated that Alexis’ ex and her former flame, John Janssen, might be pulling the strings behind Alexis‘ gesture. Shannon quipped, “The coming after me didn’t work, so now the coach is saying that, ‘You’ve gotta be overly nice to her.’”
Tamra Judge, one of Alexis’ closest confidantes on the show, found this theory a bit much. “Oh my god, we’re gonna blame it on John,” Tamra said in her confessional. “This is what Shannon does. Why can’t Alexis just send her flowers to be nice? Shannon’s exhausting.”
Planning the London Trip
Later in the episode, Shannon drafted a text to Alexis about an upcoming cast trip to London, but the other ladies quickly advised her that her tone was too harsh. Despite the warnings, Shannon sent the message anyway, shutting down any hope of Alexis joining the trip. The following day, Jenn Pedranti and Katie Ginella visited Alexis at her home to deliver the news of the trip in person, only to discover that Shannon had already beaten them to it.
“My last effort was to extend an olive branch. Unfortunately, I keep hitting a brick wall,” Alexis said, visibly emotional before reading the text aloud.
“Hello, Alexis, it’s Shannon Beador. I am hosting a trip to Europe with my friends and just wanted to make it clear that you are not invited,” Shannon’s message read. “That should be quite understandable given the circumstances. Thank you for the flowers, but I am not interested in any olive branch.”
Alexis Reaches Her Breaking Point
Tears welled up in Alexis’ eyes as she read Shannon’s hurtful message. “You know what? I’ve tried it on all girls. Now I’m f***ing done. What is she so hung up on?” she vented to Jenn and Katie.
Katie tried to explain that Shannon was still weighed down by the ongoing lawsuit between Alexis and her ex, John, but Alexis wasn’t having it. “Her actions have caused all this,” Alexis snapped. “If she didn’t borrow the money and she had paid it back, we wouldn’t be in this position, would we?”
John Speaks Out
The lawsuit in question involves $75,000 in loans for a facelift that John Janssen claims Shannon owes him. Despite initially keeping a low profile this season, John made his first on-screen appearance alongside Alexis to explain his side of the story. In a confessional, John revealed, “I didn’t want to take legal action, but my hands were tied as I was days away from crossing the statute of limitations of being able to do anything legally.”
John further backed up his claims, saying, “[Shannon] 100% knew these were loans. I have proof of that. Shannon sent me an email admitting it was a loan, so the comments about these being gifts are patently false.” John didn’t mince words about his feelings, either. “Shannon has an interesting relationship with the truth,” he stated bluntly.
Alexis Walks Away
As Alexis sat with Jenn and Katie, she couldn’t help but feel defeated. “This is unbelievable,” she said, tearfully looking at Shannon’s message again. Despite their pleas for her to stay involved with the group, Alexis was resolute. “I’m done,” she repeated, before getting up and ushering Jenn and Katie out of her house.
“I love you guys, thank you for being the horrible communicators,” Alexis said sarcastically as she opened the door. Jenn responded, “Of the horrible news,” before the ladies left.
Moments after the door slammed, Alexis headed upstairs, where John was waiting for her, still visibly upset. As the episode came to a close, the emotional weight of the situation lingered in the air. “That’s bulls***,” Jenn commented to Katie as they walked away. “We didn’t want to come over here and do this,” Katie replied. Jenn nodded, adding, “Somebody had to tell her.”
As Alexis retreated upstairs to John, she could be heard saying, “F*** them,” marking the end of another emotional episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County.
