Alexis Bellino Blames Her MEAN GIRL BULLY Behavior on ‘RHOC’ Editing
Alexis Bellino has had enough of how she’s being portrayed on season 18 of The Real Housewives of Orange County. The 47-year-old reality star, who recently got engaged to John Janssen, Shannon Beador’s ex-boyfriend, took to Instagram to express her frustrations with Bravo, accusing the network of editing her in a negative light to boost ratings.
In a September 21 post, Alexis didn’t hold back.
“I just want to let everyone know that what you’re seeing in my career is not real. It’s not the truth,” she wrote. “There has been so much left out intentionally to paint me in a bad light. It’s ok. I’ll take one for the team to get ratings for this business, but I will live in truth. And I will bring the truth.”
The RHOC star continued, promising fans she would reveal her side of the story.
“Whether I have to do it here on my Instagram page or if this career I chose decides to bring the truth out. Either way, it WILL come out. And you will also see the true Alexis. Because what you’re seeing on your TV right now is NOT me.”
Fans of the show will remember that Alexis rejoined RHOC this season, just weeks after going public with her romance with John, 61. Their relationship sparked controversy, as it came on the heels of John’s breakup with Shannon, 60, leading many to speculate that Alexis’ return was a dig at Shannon. Despite this, Alexis insists that the narrative being shown on TV isn’t the whole picture.
Throughout the season, Alexis has also stirred up drama by mentioning shocking videos from the night of Shannon’s DUI and hit-and-run arrest. On top of that, John is suing Shannon, claiming she owes him $75,000 for a facelift he paid for during their relationship.
Despite the backlash she’s received, Alexis told her followers, “I love you all, and I do not hate you for hating me. Because I would hate me too if I were you. But just hang tight, I’ll be speaking the truth after every episode of what has been left out intentionally to paint me as someone I don’t even know.”
She added that she plans to upload live recaps of each episode to her Instagram, starting from episode one, to give fans the real story.
The Real Housewives of Orange County season 18 airs, Thursdays at 9/8c, on Bravo.
