Diddy’s Lawyer Blames Cassie for Brutal Hotel Lobby Beatdown, Calls Her a Liar and Cheater!

Diddy’s lawyer is shifting blame in the infamous hotel lobby altercation, claiming that Cassie was the one who instigated the brutal beatdown by striking the music mogul first, sparking a heated confrontation between the two.

It’s a tough time for Sean “Diddy” Combs, as the music mogul faces mounting legal and public scrutiny following his recent arrest. Combs has pleaded not guilty to multiple sex trafficking charges, but the storm surrounding him is only intensifying. The arrest and subsequent bail denial have thrown the Bad Boy founder into a legal battle, while public opinion has taken a sharp downturn, with many celebrities distancing themselves from his alleged actions.

However, Diddy’s lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, is tirelessly working to reframe the narrative. In a statement shared by Inner City Press, Agnifilo addressed the infamous hotel hallway video, where Diddy was seen assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura. Rather than defending the assault itself, Agnifilo attempted to shift the blame, alleging that Cassie was the initial aggressor in the altercation. According to him, Cassie hit Diddy in the head with a cellphone after finding evidence of his infidelity on his phone.

“[It was] an issue that Mr. Combs had more than one girlfriend,” Agnifilo stated. He further claimed that Cassie “struck Mr. Combs in the head with a cellphone” before running into the hallway, sparking the altercation seen in the security footage. While he didn’t justify Diddy’s actions, Agnifilo’s defense strategy appeared aimed at reducing Diddy’s perceived role as the instigator.

Further Allegations Against Cassie

Agnifilo’s claims didn’t stop at the physical altercation. He also alleged that Cassie had been unfaithful to Diddy throughout their relationship and even accused her of marrying the personal trainer Diddy had hired for her. “These two people were in love,” Agnifilo stated, arguing that they had “been cheating on each other for years.”

Perhaps the most shocking part of Agnifilo’s defense was his claim that Cassie fondly recalls her time with Diddy. “Years later, she realized she had a good thing with Mr. Combs,” he asserted, attempting to paint a picture of reconciliation in hindsight.

The Shadow of Cassie’s Lawsuit

Cassie’s legal claims tell a starkly different story. In November 2023, she filed a lawsuit against Diddy, accusing him of rape and physical abuse throughout their relationship. The lawsuit was settled out of court just a day later, raising further questions about the extent of the abuse and the decision to settle so swiftly. Despite the settlement, the release of hotel footage showing the physical altercation has left a lasting impact on Diddy’s reputation, one from which he has yet to fully recover.

Cassie has not responded to Agnifilo’s latest allegations, but the lawsuit paints a troubling picture of their relationship, one that contradicts the lawyer’s attempts to downplay the severity of Diddy’s actions.
