The Season 14 finale of Real Housewives of New Jersey was a dramatic spectacle, primarily fueled by an explosive confrontation between Jennifer Aydin and Danielle Cabral.

The tension reached a boiling point when Jennifer made a disparaging remark about Danielle’s husband, Nate Cabral, prompting Danielle to lunge across the table in a heated reaction.

During the contentious moment, Jennifer quipped, “Your husband with the boobs, and you got the brawn, honey,” which sparked Danielle’s fury. Despite the intensity of the situation, Danielle later reflected on her actions and admitted her response was misguided.

Speaking on Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea Podcast* on August 21, Danielle expressed regret over her physical reaction but emphasized the impact of Jennifer’s words.

“Listen, when someone gets physical, it’s never right. It’s wrong,” Danielle began, addressing her leap across the table. “I do regret my reaction, but I want to remind everyone that words hurt.” Danielle elaborated on how Jennifer’s comments were particularly painful because they echoed online criticisms Nate had faced.

Danielle revealed, “Nate struggles with issues of body image, and the words cut like a knife.” She explained that Jennifer’s remarks were reminiscent of negative comments from bloggers and social media, exacerbating Nate’s insecurities.

“We would see mean things about Nate online, and we hoped he wouldn’t come across these hurtful images or comments,” Danielle added.

The impact of Jennifer’s comments was evident as Danielle noted Nate’s attempts to address his body image issues. “He started going to the gym at 4 a.m. and would ask, ‘Babe, does this shirt make me look OK?’ I knew he was seeing the negative remarks,” Danielle said.

This awareness intensified Danielle’s reaction when she perceived Jennifer as the source of the hurtful commentary.

To counter the negative impact, Danielle organized a confidence-boosting photo shoot for Nate. “When we saw the first clip of that video, we were like, ‘This is it. This is how you come back, how you stand up to a bully—by doing things like this,’” Danielle explained.

The photoshoot was intended to reaffirm Nate’s self-esteem and serve as a form of empowerment following the public criticism.

The incident has underscored the emotional toll reality TV can take on personal relationships, particularly when public figures like Jennifer and Danielle find themselves in the spotlight.
