‘RHOSLC’ Star Lisa Barlow’s Lawyers Announce Her Vida Tequila Lawsuit Is Dismissed
Lisa Barlow, star of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, has recently seen a legal victory as a lawsuit against her has been officially dismissed.
The case, which was the third legal action against Barlow, her husband John Barlow, and their company, Vida Tequila, was dismissed on August 15, 2024, according to a statement from her attorneys shared exclusively with TMZ.
While the dismissal is a positive development for Barlow, it comes with a caveat. The case was dismissed “without prejudice,” meaning that it could potentially be refiled in the future. The motion to dismiss did not provide a specific reason for the decision, leaving some uncertainty about the next steps.
The lawsuit in question was filed by William M. McGeary, who claimed he had lent $400,000 to the Barlows through his trust for their tequila business. McGeary alleged that the money was borrowed to address cash flow issues at Vida Tequila, with a repayment due by December 2023. He further claimed that despite the loan, Lisa Barlow had not repaid him.
This recent legal issue adds to a string of similar cases involving Lisa Barlow and her company. In June 2023, Lisa Barlow, Vida Tequila, and Luxe Marketing faced a lawsuit from Bart Carlson, who alleged that he had taken out loans amounting to $410,000 on behalf of Barlow and her business.
Additionally, in May 2023, The Financial Services Corporation sued Vida Tequila and John Barlow for an outstanding loan of $105,954.16.
In response to these legal challenges, Lisa Barlow has consistently denied any wrongdoing. In a statement released in June, she addressed the accusations head-on, asserting, “I pay my bills and obligations, and I always have.”
With the new season of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City set to premiere soon, it’s likely that Lisa Barlow’s legal troubles will be a topic of discussion on the show. Fans may see how these issues impact her life and interactions, as she juggles her responsibilities and legal challenges.
As production for the upcoming season continues, it remains to be seen how Lisa Barlow’s ongoing legal battles will influence her role on the show.
For now, the dismissal of the lawsuit offers a temporary reprieve, but the possibility of the case being refiled means that Lisa’s legal saga may continue to unfold.
