‘The Valley’ Star Jax Taylor Is Staying in Touch With Brittany Cartwright and Son While Being In A Mental Health Facility
The Valley star Jax Taylor remains in contact with his estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright, and their young son, Cruz, while he undergoes mental health treatment at an in-patient facility in Los Angeles.
Despite their separation, the couple continues to navigate co-parenting their three-year-old amidst Jax’s health journey and Brittany’s busy schedule filming the second season of The Valley and managing their bar, Jax’s Studio City.
A source close to the family shared with Daily Mail on August 6, “He’s still in communication with Brittany and his son. He is unsure how long he will be staying. It’ll be however long he needs.” This ongoing support is part of Taylor’s commitment to his wellbeing and maintaining a relationship with his family during this challenging time.
Cartwright, 35, is reportedly focusing her efforts on raising Cruz, ensuring he still has regular interactions with his father. “Brittany’s priority is taking care of their son while Jax is away, and she is making sure Cruz still gets to speak to his father,” another insider revealed.
The couple, who publicly announced their separation in February, shortly before what would have been their five-year wedding anniversary, have since placed their relationship discussions on hold.
“Jax and Brittany have put a pause on their relationship. “They are still separated and dealing with their marital problems. Now it’s about Jax getting help for his mental health before they can continue their conversation about their marriage and what’s next,” the source explained.
Meanwhile, Cartwright has found support and possibly a new romantic interest in Tanner Courtad, 31, a Bachelorette alum. The two reportedly met at a Bachelorette watch party hosted at Jax’s Studio City on July 15.
“Brittany has been happier lately and less stressed, and her happiness is contributing to her eating healthier and living a healthy lifestyle,” noted another source.
“Separation and the time apart from Jax has been a really good thing for her for sure.”
Amidst these personal developments, Cartwright also managed to resolve financial matters by clearing a $35,000 tax lien previously placed against their marital home, as confirmed by the Franchise Tax Board of the State of California with a release filed on July 26.
The Valley season two, featuring Brittany, is slated to premiere on Bravo later this year or early next year, continuing to showcase her life and new developments post-separation.
