Emily Simpson SLAMS Rumors that She’s Divorcing Shane, Claims He’s ‘Never Getting Rid of Her’
Emily Simpson and her husband, Shane Simpson, are addressing rumors about their marriage head-on.
During Season 18, Episode 3 of The Real Housewives of Orange County, the couple had a heated discussion about their differing approaches to health.
While Shane expressed concern that Emily’s commitment to her fitness routine might be excessive, Emily countered that Shane’s own health habits, like his constant soda consumption, are less than ideal.
Despite the tension on the show, Emily took to Instagram to debunk recent divorce rumors. After a post claimed they were “officially divorcing,” Emily swiftly responded via her Instagram Story.
“We’re not getting divorced!” she declared, adding, “Shane is never getting rid of me!” Emily cautioned her followers about misleading headlines, labeling them as “BS clickbait.”
On the show, Shane admitted in a confessional that while he admires Emily’s dedication to her health, he worries she might be pushing herself too hard.
“I think Emily’s pathway to being healthy is terrific,” Shane said. “I’m very proud of her, I’m very happy for her. But I do think she takes it a little too far, to the point where she disappoints herself when she can’t make it to the gym one day.”
In contrast, Simpson defended her health regimen, noting that she sees her fitness routine as a positive example for her children.
“My kids see me go to the gym every day, so I think kids seeing that I have an active lifestyle is a good thing,” she said. She added, “It counterbalances Shane walking around with his Big Gulps all the time.”
Reflecting on their journey, Emily and Shane have faced their share of challenges, including disagreements over Shane’s role in the show’s drama.
However, Emily believes that their experiences on RHOC have strengthened their marriage. “I feel like Shane and I have grown as a couple and I think the show has a lot to do with that,” she shared.
