Leah Kateb Teases Future Projects with PPG’s Serena Page and JaNa Craig: ‘We Will Be on Your Screens’
Love Island USA stars Leah Kateb, Serena Page, and JaNa Craig, who formed a close-knit bond during their six weeks in the villa, are set to remain a fixture in fans’ lives.
Leah, 24, shared with PEOPLE that the trio, known as PPG for PowerPuff Girls, has exciting plans ahead. “There is a lot in the making for PPG,” Leah teased.
“You guys will see more of us. We will be on your screens. We will be on your cell phones. Trust me, guys, we want to see you guys as much as you want to see us,” she claims.
The nickname PPG, coined early in the season, stuck with both fans and the villa’s residents. Leah expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support the trio has received.
“I never could have dreamed that you guys would support our friendship the way you have,” she said.
“And it’s such a sisterhood, like these are my girls.” The group recently reunited for a day out at Universal Studios Hollywood, joined by fellow islanders Kordell Beckham, Kenny Rodriguez, Rob Rausch, Kaylor Martin, Aaron Evans, Nicole Jacky, and Kendall Washington.
Leah described her bond with Serena and JaNa as akin to that of sisters, noting that while they argue like siblings, they are quick to apologize and reconcile.
“We are literally sisters — we argue like sisters, but we are also the first ones to be, like, ‘I f—ed up, and I shouldn’t have said that, and I shouldn’t have [done] that, and I’m sorry,’” Leah said.
Reflecting on the drama involving her, JaNa, 27, and Connor, Leah admitted that the on-screen portrayal might not fully capture the reality of their interactions.
“Even when JaNa and I were going through the whole Connor situation, we were still so close during all of it,” Leah explained. “But I will also say, I was trying to move as respectfully as I could, and I did tell Connor that. I said, ‘I’m not going to disrespect her at all.’”
Though Leah hasn’t watched the show back, she expressed frustration at how the situation with Connor, 28, was depicted.
“There are things that I probably like shouldn’t have done, or shouldn’t have said, but at the end of the day, I’m glad everything [went the way it did] because if I hadn’t done that, then it’s a whole domino effect [and] we wouldn’t be where we are right now,” Leah said.
She also emphasized her respect for JaNa and her hope that their friendship remains strong, regardless of the show’s drama.
