Sexyy Red Denies Performing at Trump Rally Despite Praising Him in A Old Interview!
Sexyy Red has swiftly addressed circulating rumors about her performing at Donald Trump’s presidential rally in Atlanta.
After @Theepopfeed tweeted that Sexyy was set to take the stage at the rally on August 3rd, the rapper responded directly: “Dey fakin dats cap..”
While the “U My Everything” rapper won’t be at the rally, she is gearing up for her own tour, the “Sexyy Red 4 President” tour. The “SkeeYee” artist also tackled claims of potential tour cancellations due to low ticket sales.
In a series of tweets, the St. Louis rapper defended her tour, stating, “My fans are buying tickets we’re doin just fine we not cancelling no tour dis cancelling sht all cap.”
Sexyy Red’s rebuttal followed a tweet from Art of Dialogue’s X page, which claimed, “Sexyy Red’s Upcoming Tour Is Reportedly On The Verge of Being Cancelled. Only 37.11% of the 85,217 Tickets Have Sold.”
Sexyy fired back: “Dis how Dey try to do u wen u go wit an independent promoter n the bigger companies try to sabotage u we not cancelling sht.”
She further clarified, “I did my touring deal with a black promoter black owned company AG Entertainment. And now Dey playin dirty paying pages spreading fake news to discourage my fans from buying tickets.”
In response to further confusion, she reposted a tweet clarifying her stance: “Y’all misinterpreting her tweet. She [is] not blaming the Black-owned company. Red [is] basically saying the other companies [are] trying to spread false narratives about the tour because she working with them.”
The “Hellcats SRTs” rapper’s upcoming tour, set to launch in Seattle on August 22, 2024, and conclude in Nashville on October 1, will feature performances by Hunxho, Loe Shimmy, BlakeIANA, and possibly Kodak Black.
The tour follows the release of her mixtape, In Sexy We Trust.
Earlier this year, Sexyy Red expressed her support for Donald Trump during an interview with comedian Theo Von on his podcast.
She praised Trump for his actions while in office, saying, “I like Trump. Yeah, they support him in the hood. At first I don’t think people was f–king with him. They thought he was racist, saying little s–t against women.”
“But once he started getting Black people out of jail and giving people that free money. Aww baby, we love Trump. We need him back in office,” Sexyy thinks.
She added, “I love Trump. He funny to me. I used to be watching him talking to people. He used to be calling people fat. He just bold. He funny. We need people like him.”
