Lala Kent Gets Emotional Discussing Health Scare, Admits She Was ‘Very Concerned’

Lala Kent is candidly discussing a frightening health issue she faced while in her third trimester of pregnancy.

The Vanderpump Rules star, who is expecting her second daughter in early September 2024, experienced a troubling episode of numbness and breathlessness during her baby shower, which she dubbed a “Baby Monsoon,” on July 14.

In a recent episode of her podcast, Give Them Lala, Kent recounted the alarming incident. “My arms and legs went numb, and I could not breathe,” she revealed.

“It took everything in me to not pass out and just make it to my bed.” Lala described her struggle, saying, “I was trying to yell for my mom, but again, I was really struggling, and I was very, very concerned.”

The reality star was showing off her playroom to a guest when she first felt the symptoms. “I don’t know what happened,” Kent admitted.

“I’ve heard that she could be sitting weird, but I felt this overwhelming amount of guilt because I’ve been complaining a lot about my [body] aching and just wanting it to be done,” she states.

Once she reached her bed, Lala called her doctor but managed to resolve the issue herself by adjusting her position.

“And all of a sudden I could breathe,” Kent explained. “The baby was definitely active. I said [to the doctor], ‘She hasn’t stopped moving. And he was like, ‘Oh, OK, I’m less concerned now.’”

Although Lala didn’t receive a concrete diagnosis, she suspects that the baby was simply “positioned weird.” Following the scare, her doctor advised her to take more rest.

“He was like, ‘I really need you to start staying off your feet. Don’t overdo it during the day,’” Kent shared. “Which I have been. I think I’ve been overdoing it since [the] second trimester.”

Lala announced her pregnancy on Instagram in March 2024. Earlier, in January, she had shared that she was undergoing Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) to conceive her second child.

After revealing her pregnancy, Lala celebrated with a gender reveal party, discovering that she’s expecting a baby girl.

Although she has chosen a name for her daughter, she’s keeping it under wraps for now, teasing that it will start with the letter “S.”

Since her announcement, Kent has kept her fans updated on her journey, from moving into a new family home in the Valley to proudly showcasing her baby bump.
