Rachel “Raquel” Leviss is facing backlash for her recent message of support for Jax Taylor, who has entered a mental health treatment facility.

In an Instagram post on Wednesday, Rachel, 29, shared a heartfelt note expressing her sadness over Jax’s struggles and support for his decision to seek help.

“I am deeply saddened to hear of Jax’s mental health struggles and I wholeheartedly support his decision to seek treatment,” Leviss wrote in a screen recording of her notes app.

She drew a parallel to her own experience, referencing her time in a mental health treatment center last year after her affair with Tom Sandoval was revealed.

“I pray that his news is met with the open-mindedness that mine lacked, as I faced mockery and accusations of simply being in a spa,” she added. “I hope he finds the healing that I did through my own journey.”

Rachel concluded her message by emphasizing the broader issue of mental health care, stating, “This situation highlights the urgent need for mental healthcare and accessible treatment for reality TV stars ✨💫.” She captioned the post, “Wishing you a speedy recovery.”

However, the response from Instagram users was overwhelmingly negative. Many accused Leviss of turning Taylor’s situation into an opportunity for self-promotion.

Comments included, “You already spinned the situation around to be about you,” and “Why did you make this entire situation all about you?!”

One user bluntly wrote, “WTF is wrong with you? Jax doesn’t care about your little statement and we don’t either.” Another commenter suggested, “This could’ve been kept in the drafts.”

Some criticized Rachel for her perceived need to insert herself into the conversation, with one remarking, “You’re like Scheana. You love to make things about yourself. This is about his mental health.”

Others were more supportive, acknowledging her intentions but suggesting she might need guidance on when to post such statements. “You guys are so rude, I’m sure she meant it from the heart and isn’t looking for attention. Let up on her!!” wrote one fan. Another added, “You guys don’t understand, she dealt with mental health issues that’s why she’s speaking on it.”

Taylor’s representative confirmed on Tuesday that he has voluntarily entered inpatient treatment. “Jax has always been candid about his mental health struggles, especially during the past few months on his podcast,” the rep said.

The statement emphasized the need for privacy, noting, “This is a particularly sensitive time for him and his family,” and requested respect until Taylor is ready to address the situation further.

Earlier in the month, The Valley star, 45, discussed his mental health challenges on his podcast, revealing a breakdown that led him to seek professional help. He explained, “I’m like, ‘This is what’s wrong with me, and this is what I’m doing, and this is who I’m attacking. And I have serious, serious anger issues, and I have a child, and I don’t want him to see me act like that.’”

The VPR alum and his estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright, 35, who share a 3-year-old son, Cruz, announced their separation in February after nearly five years of marriage.

Jax has expressed his commitment to self-improvement in hopes of reconciling with Brittany.

Following the news of his treatment, Taylor shared a photo on his Instagram Story of himself with Cruz, captioning it, “Trying to get better for you buddy, daddy loves you so much.”
