Paige DeSorbo Opens Up About Not Rushing Into Parenthood with Craig Conover

Summer House star Paige DeSorbo recently addressed her thoughts on marriage and motherhood, clarifying that she’s in no rush to start a family.

During a candid discussion on the LadyGang podcast, Paige shared insights into her relationship with Southern Charm star Craig Conover, emphasizing that the couple doesn’t dwell on topics like engagement or babies as much as people might assume.

“Honestly, me and Craig rarely talk about when are we getting engaged, when are we having a baby,” Paige disclosed in the podcast episode aired on July 23.

“Of course, we’ve had those conversations, but it’s not as much as everyone else is having them. So we don’t really get that stressed out about it,” she stated.

The reality TV star, who has been dating Craig for two and a half years, explained that their relationship might seem longer to the public due to the nature of reality television.

“It seems like me and Craig have been dating for so much longer than we have,” she said, acknowledging the different perceptions of time shaped by their TV appearances.

DeSorbo also highlighted the cultural differences in dating expectations between New Yorkers and Southerners, noting that people from the South tend to settle down earlier.

Despite the external pressures and misconceptions, Paige is clear about prioritizing her career over domestic life for now.

“When [women] do get married and have babies, people look at you different and they treat you different,” she remarked. “I didn’t want to be doing Giggly Squad, putting out a book, going on tour, and everyone would be like, ‘So you’re planning your wedding. Like, where are you doing it?’ I didn’t work this long just to like give it to a guy, basically.”

While she is not ready to take the plunge into motherhood just yet, DeSorbo assured that having children is definitely in her plans. “I’ve always known I wanna have kids. That is definitely a priority in my life,” she affirmed.

“I also know myself. I know the moment I give birth to that first child, you’ll never see me again. That’s it. I’m home. I’m in the bed. Like I can’t wait for that,” she claims.

Paige DeSorbo’s stance reflects a growing trend among women who choose to focus on personal and professional growth before embracing the roles of marriage and motherhood, ensuring they’re fully prepared and enthusiastic about these life-changing commitments when the time comes.
