Season 9 of ‘Summer House’ Set to Return of Carl Radke and Lindsay Hubbard

In the aftermath of Summer House Season 8, which showcased the fracturing relationship between Carl Radke and Lindsay Hubbard, fans can anticipate the pair’s return in the upcoming Season 9.

Set to commence filming over the 4th of July weekend in Water Mill, New York, this news has been confirmed by Variety, marking the continuation of the series with both Carl, aged 39, and Lindsay, aged 37. 

Remarkably, Radke and Hubbard, alongside Kyle Cooke, are set to be the only three cast members who have remained as mainstays through all nine seasons.

This comes despite their recent breakup and the dramatic end to their engagement. Another cast member, Danielle Olivera, will not be returning to the show, signifying a notable change in the cast dynamics.

The previous season frequently highlighted the pair’s ongoing disputes, including Lindsay’s skepticism about Carl’s sobriety since he stopped drinking in 2021. Radke openly expressed his concerns about Hubbard’s attitude towards his recovery, stating, “I thought she was rooting for me to relapse and fall off the wagon.”

In a reflective discussion with Glamour in late May, Lindsay shared her feelings about moving past their relationship, saying, “I really truly feel thankful that the universe, or God, or whatever higher being you believe in, stepped in and saved me from a really long, hard, rough life ahead.”

She credited this difficult period for providing significant life lessons, particularly about her future romantic endeavors.

Hubbard also conveyed her current mindset about working with Radke again, noting, “It’s almost a year ago that we broke up, and I did a lot of healing. I’m still healing in different ways, of course, but I’m just so happy to not be in that.” She further added her commitment to “Summer House,” planning to stay until age 100, and reminisced about the previous season, “Despite all of the challenges that my ex and I had last summer, it was really, truly a fun summer.”

Lindsay also highlighted her positive relationships within the cast and her excitement for the new season, stating, “I had a blast with the girls, and it makes me excited for this upcoming summer, too, because I still have a great relationship with all of them and the new guys, West and Jesse. I think it was a really good dynamic all around with this cast.”

On the other side, Radke shared his own regrets in a New York Times interview conducted in late May, admitting, “I was not proud of how I was handling the situation and how I was treating her.”

He added, “I wish I had really been more direct,” acknowledging his struggle to communicate effectively. He also took responsibility for his actions during their heated moments, clarifying, “That’s not on her. That’s on me. I’m seeing myself blame and play victim, and I don’t want to be either.”

As they return for Season 9, the dynamic between Carl and Lindsay promises to be a central theme, offering viewers front-row seats to their ongoing personal growth and the evolving dynamics within Summer House.

With old tensions still lingering and new relationships forming, the upcoming season is poised to deliver another summer filled with drama and revelations in the picturesque setting of the Hamptons.
