‘Summer House’ Star Jesse Solomon Uncertain on Season 9 Return: ‘I Can’t Say If I’m Part of It’
In a recent podcast appearance on “Trading Secrets,” a Summer House new addition, Jesse Solomon, hinted at the possibility of his return for the show’s ninth season, following its confirmed renewal by Bravo.
While discussing the show’s popularity and renewal, Solomon remained non-committal about his involvement in the upcoming season.
“I can’t say if I’m part of it,” Jesse, 31, shared during the interview with host Jason Tartick.
Expressing optimism about returning to the Hamptons, he added, “I’m very hopeful that I will be in the Hamptons. I will be in the Hamptons regardless of if I’m on the show. But I’m hopeful it’ll be on the show.”
Solomon, who debuted in season 8 alongside fellow newcomer West Wilson, reflected on his first season’s financial aspects without disclosing exact figures. However, he emphasized his intent to negotiate a more favorable contract should he decide to return.
“The Bravo money is not life-changing your first year, but it increases over time,” Jesse explained. “I negotiate everything.” He also revealed that he now has professional representation to handle future negotiations, ensuring his interests are well-represented.
According to industry reports, established Summer House cast members typically earn between $10,000 to $20,000 per episode.
Solomon’s comments come amidst uncertainty regarding the complete season 9 cast, although figures like Carl Radke have expressed interest in returning.
Carl, whose storyline with ex-fiancée Lindsay Hubbard was a focal point in season 8, recently voiced his willingness to come back.
“I’d love to do it again if it made sense,” Radke told Decider in May 2024. Hubbard, in a separate interview with Rolling Stone, also hinted at her openness to returning, acknowledging the show’s evolution since its inception.
However, not all veterans will be returning. Danielle Olivera, a longtime fixture on the show, announced her departure from full-time cast duties for the upcoming season.
In an Instagram statement, Olivera cited a need to focus on her entrepreneurial ventures, though she hinted at a possible cameo.
As the casting for Summer House season 9 unfolds, fans await official announcements regarding who will grace the Hamptons villa for another summer of drama and camaraderie.
