Caroline Stanbury Admits Ozempic Keeps Her SKINNY!
Real Housewives of Dubai star Caroline Stanbury is shedding light about her experience using Ozempic to manage weight loss during a period she describes as a “midlife crisis” at the age of 45.
During a recent episode of her podcast Uncut & Uncensored with Caroline Stanbury, the 48-year-old reality star delved into her decision to incorporate Ozempic into her weight loss journey.
Sharing a clip from the episode on Instagram, Caroline Stanbury revealed, “After 40, we all know, it’s very, very hard to lose weight. But I met so many 40-year-old women going, ‘How have you done it?’ And I don’t want to lie to you … I used Ozempic, which I think is one of the best tools if you’re able to use it.”
Caroline also referenced supermodel Kate Moss, saying, “What did Kate Moss say? ‘Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels.’ There’s something to be said for that.”
Ozempic is a prescription drug primarily used to treat type 2 diabetes, has gained popularity in Hollywood circles for its weight loss effects. This medication, containing semaglutide, a component also found in the clinical obesity drug Wegovy, functions as a GLP-1 receptor, aiding in appetite reduction.
Discussing their approach to nutrition beyond these aids, Caroline’s husband, Sergio Carrallo, shared insights on their regimen during an episode of the podcast.
“We try to maintain the balance … if we have a big dinner we try to just fast a little bit until breakfast,” he explained. Praising Stanbury’s progress, he remarked, “From a professional background in sports, I think you’ve found your balance now.”
Fans criticized Caroline, with one commenting, “People with diabetes have issues with getting on this medication when they actually need it while you’re using it for weight loss when you were skinny in the first place!” Another remarked, “Caroline is so out of touch with reality.” However, some users defended her, stating, “I don’t see an issue,” and “At least she’s honest.”
Caroline Stanbury’s revelation about her use of Ozempic comes after she openly shared her recovery journey from a facelift on social media last year. The Real Housewives star stunned fans with footage showcasing her bruised eyes, swollen face, and head wrapped in bandages upon returning home from the surgery in November 2023, as documented by Carrallo on Instagram.
Expressing his support during her challenging recovery, Carrallo described it as “one of the hardest moments of my life.” Despite initial reservations, he stood by Stanbury’s decision, emphasizing, “As a husband, I will always support her and be here for her.”
Season 2 of The Real Housewives of Dubai, will premiere Sunday, June 2 at 9 p.m.
