Kathryn Dennis went on a drunken tirade during her DUI arrest, accusing the arresting officer of sexual harassment and threatening to sue the police, while crying over her dog.
Kathryn Dennis had a dramatic meltdown after being arrested for drunk driving in South Carolina on Monday, May 20, with the tear-filled arrest captured on police dashcam footage.
The former Southern Charm star was involved in a three-car collision in Goose Creek, SC, on Monday. Police responded to the scene and determined that Kathryn was intoxicated behind the wheel, noting her “glossy eyes” and the smell of alcohol on her breath. As a result, she was booked for DUI.
Goose Creek PD released hours of dashcam video showing the entirety of Kathryn’s arrest, revealing the extent of her emotional state during the incident.
The video begins with Kathryn carrying her dog and a fancy bag to a patrol car while a police officer shadows her. She then performed various field sobriety tests under the officer’s guidance.
It was evident that Kathryn failed the tests, as the officer subsequently handcuffed her and placed her in the backseat of the police cruiser.
Then came the waterworks. Kathryn started crying, threatening the officer, and begging him not to take away her little pooch. She went on a rant about how she knew all about getting busted because her ex is a felon, while also talking about caring only for her kids.
As you might know, Kathryn was a mainstay on Southern Charm for eight seasons before announcing her exit from the show in 2023.
But this last performance with the police is one she’ll probably want to forget.

Previously, in November 2023, Dennis was implicated in a hit-and-run incident at an elementary school, though she was not arrested at that time. Her legal complications deepened during her DUI arrest on Monday night when she was also charged with driving with an open container, further intensifying the severity of her current legal challenges.
Kathryn was involved in a serious traffic incident when her 2022 Ford Bronco sped past a stop sign at Whitesville Elementary School in Moncks Corner, South Carolina. The vehicle struck a school crossing guard, resulting in a broken hand for the 40-year-old deputy sheriff. The hit-and-run occurred around 7:30 a.m., adding to the series of legal issues faced by the reality TV star.
