Kroy Biermann Rekindles Relationship with Parents Amid Divorce Drama!

Kroy Biermann has opened up about reconnecting with his parents after years of estrangement that began with his marriage to Kim Zolciak in 2011. The estrangement started when Kim accused Kroy’s parents of attempting to stop their wedding.

Sharing details on the Juicy Scoop With Heather McDonald podcast in 2018, Kim revealed a particularly poignant incident from their wedding day.

“We didn’t know this until after our wedding. They were at the wedding, but we found out two weeks later that they were in our driveway with a preacher praying against our wedding the day of. There was a circle of them in their family praying with their preacher and a pastor to block us from getting married that day,” Kim disclosed.

Despite the family rift, Kroy’s parents continued to send birthday and Christmas presents to their grandchildren. Fast forward to the present, amid his divorce from Kim, Kroy discussed his rekindled family relationships on the Tufftalk podcast. Reflecting on the support he’s received, Kroy shared,

“I didn’t even recognize that in my life until I needed it,” noting the importance of God, family, and friends in helping him through tough times. “Like until I had to have like God, family, and friends be there to pull me out … those connections had kind of either fizzled out or life got busy, they were busy and I didn’t have the connection that I should have maintained … Regardless of how long it was, they were just right there and said, ‘What can we do? How can we help? Let’s walk through it. Let’s build. Let’s get ready and let’s go,'” he said.

 Kim and Kroy Biermann’s marriage came to an end as Kroy declared in his legal filings that their union was “irretrievably broken.” In his court documents, Kroy explicitly sought “the temporary and permanent sole legal and sole physical custody” of the couple’s four children. He further pursued ownership of their shared home to continue providing for the children.

The former athlete from Montana also made significant requests concerning his estranged wife’s access to their home, asking for her to be “restrained” from entering the premises. Moreover, he sought financial support for the children, stating in the filings, “Petitioner shows that child support should be awarded on a temporary and permanent basis for the support of the minor children in accordance with the child support guidelines.”
