Lala Kent Potentially Joining The Valley Amid Vanderpump Rules Going On Pause!
Lala Kent is considering a new opportunity on The Valley following the mysterious ending of Vanderpump Rules Season 11 on Tuesday night.
“Lala is in early talks to join The Valley,” a source disclosed to Page Six, noting her close connections within the cast.
“She is very connected with that cast. Those girls are her very good friends and mom crew.”
Additionally, if Kent, 33, moves forward with this role, she is expected to continue her involvement in “Pump Rules.”
“That’s her home,” the insider explained. “It’s not one or the other.”
Despite no confirmation from Bravo about The Valley getting a second season or any casting details, the drama from the “Vanderpump Rules” finale, which aired Tuesday, has been significant. Most of the cast criticized Ariana Madix for walking away from an on-camera conversation with ex Tom Sandoval.
After Madix left a party in San Francisco, Sandoval told his co-stars that the Broadway performer has “talked s–t” about them for years. This led Kent to express her frank views on Madix’s refusal to film with Sandoval following his infidelity with former castmate Rachel “Raquel” Leviss. “This happened to her. The world rallied around her,” Kent stated. “She now thinks she is Beyoncé. It’s bulls—t that she can’t film with someone because she stays under the same roof. It’s a lot. It’s a lot that she’s saying, ‘Don’t f—k with Tom Sandoval… But, I’m gonna sleep down the hall from Tom Sandoval.’”
Kent also acknowledged, in Sandoval’s presence, his wrongdoing: “He f—king cheated” and “did a really f—king s—tty thing.” Yet, she emphasized, “he did not kill” anyone. “I never in my life experienced someone who gets cheated on and suddenly she becomes God,” Kent remarked.
While Madix decompressed at a nearby Applebee’s with friends and her boyfriend, Daniel Wai, she shared in a confessional that she doubted Sandoval’s sincerity:
“He’s never tried to talk to me off camera, he could have written something in a f—king letter and left it on the kitchen counter and I could have read it at my leisure,” she explained. “But if you would only do it on camera, to me, you just showed your true colors.”
The dynamics between Kent and Madix further deteriorated during the Vanderpump Rules Season 11 reunion taping. Kent’s friendship with Katie Maloney also suffered, whereas her relationship with Scheana Shay, who is also close to the The Valley cast, strengthened.
Kent’s integration into The Valley might be seamless, given her social connections and recent move to Southern California’s San Fernando Valley, where the show is primarily filmed. “It’s an organic fit. Those people, I know, I hang out with, we get along, we get our kids together, we trick-or-treat on Halloween,” Kent shared with Access Hollywood’s “Housewives Nightcap” podcast. “So if I ever got the call to do that, of course I would not say no.”
As Vanderpump Rules is currently on pause, Kent’s availability for The Valley remains open, especially as Bravo has decided the cast needs a break from filming after the intense Scandoval saga. “Everyone needs a moment to decompress after two very rough, intense seasons,” the insider conveyed.
Despite speculations that the Season 11 finale might have been a series finale, the insider confirmed that the series isn’t canceled and that producers look forward to resuming filming.
The Vanderpump Rules Season 11 reunion airs Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo, followed by The Valley at 9 p.m. ET.
