Melissa Gorga MOCKS Teresa Giudice’s Claim of Control Over Her ‘RHONJ’ Fate!
Melissa Gorga couldn’t help but laugh off Teresa Giudice’s bold assertion that she had the power to determine Gorga’s future on The Real Housewives of New Jersey.
When filming resumed for season 14 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey last August, Melissa Gorga couldn’t help but laugh to herself. Despite being bluntly told by her sister-in-law Teresa Giudice at the season 13 reunion that her time on the show was over — “I can’t wait to never f—ing look at your face again after today. You’re leaving!” Both Gorga and Giudice, along with the rest of the cast, were invited back.
Reflecting on her return, Melissa shared with PEOPLE, “You know what? It was fun coming back. ‘What had happened?’ Oh God,.. sorry, I got to make it funny. I mean, what do you do if you don’t have fun with it a little bit, right?”
Unfazed by Giudice’s fiery remarks, Gorga decided to stop discussing Giudice in season 14. In the season premiere, she even declined to answer questions from producers about Giudice.
“There’s just no need. I don’t need to comment on it,” Gorga stated. “That ship has sailed, and I’m okay with it, my family’s okay with it—so why do I need to talk about it? There’s absolutely nothing to talk about.”
Meanwhile, at the season’s first all-cast event, Giudice seemed equally inclined to maintain distance, not even acknowledging Gorga. Whether this detachment continues remains to be seen. At BravoCon 2023, Teresa hinted at seeking “redemption” this season.
However, Gorga remains unconcerned, humorously noting the recurring promise of vindication from others: “All I keep hearing is every season is like, ‘vindication!’ No, I think it’s actually the complete opposite.”
Melissa, who debuted on RHONJ 13 years ago with her husband Joe and their newborn son Joey, reflected on her growth since joining the show. “People forget, I had a newborn when I first joined the show,” she recalls. “I was a new mom, raising these three little babies, and trying to navigate this intense situation with my in-laws in front of the whole world. It was a lot! I really went through the woods. And looking back on it now, I’m proud I was able to navigate these rocky waters that were presented to me while still staying true to myself. I’m much stronger than I ever thought I was. And I’ve become a really confident person, where I not only have that ‘I don’t give a you know what’ attitude, but I also really believe it.”
The Real Housewives of New Jersey airs Sundays, at 8 p.m. ET, on Bravo.
