Melissa Gorga Admits ‘RHONJ’ Will FAIL Without Teresa Giudice!
Melissa Gorga agreed with Andy Cohen when she admitted that filming the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” without interacting with Teresa Giudice was not sustainable.
The Bravo executive raised eyebrows when he remarked that “it isn’t a sustainable universe to have kind of two camps on the show,” also known as “Team Teresa” and “Team Melissa.”
Teresa, Melissa’s sister-in-law, is close to Jennifer Aydin and is working to rebuild her friendship with Jackie Goldschneider. Melissa is friends with Margaret Josephs and Rachel Fuda. Danielle Cabral appears to have shifted alliances while filming the upcoming season, after having an explosive argument with Jennifer. Dolores Catania has remained neutral, and is on good terms with both Teresa and Melissa.
Melissa cosigned Cohen last week during an interview with the U.S. Sun, at the Second Chance Rescue 4th Annual Rescue Ball.
“I one thousand percent agree with him on that,” she told the outlet of Cohen’s assessment, on April 17.
The reality star stayed tight-lipped about Season 14, but teased that fans could expect a “huge twist.”
“I’m excited. I think it’s a good refreshing season,” Melissa said. “I know everybody’s seeing the change in dynamics and friendships, and it’s actually going to be quite shocking.”
“I think people are so used to Jersey being about family,” the mom of three added. “It’s a huge twist this year – plot twist!”
Margaret dished about the incoming drama in a separate interview with the same outlet. She teased that she and Jackie could take credit for the most “shocking fight” of the season, but the “biggest fight” played out between Jennifer and Danielle.
Melissa also confirmed which cast members were in her corner while filming Season 14.
“I have my girls on the show that I trust and I love. Love Dolores,” the 45-year old said. “I love Margaret and I love Rachel. I mean, I am getting to know Danielle a lot better this year.”
She added — “She seems like a really down to earth, awesome person. So I am also forming new friendships, which I’m happy about.”
Melissa shared how the New Jersey cast would be celebrating the May 5 premiere, explaining—”Margaret Josephs is actually throwing a big party, so we’re all going to Margaret’s house,” adding that the whole cast never gathers to watch the premiere.
“I won’t say all of us, but I would say a majority of us are going to Margaret’s house,” she said. “We never do [one big party]. I feel like the Jersey cast always kind of splits up into sections as you can tell.”
The Season 14 trailer, released in March, teased trouble in paradise between Teresa and husband, Luis Ruelas.
The sneak peek featured several cast members accusing Luis of financially draining the reality star, whom he wed in a lavish televised wedding ceremony in August 2022.
Margaret referenced Luis’ runaway spending habits during an exchange with husband, Joe Benigno, claiming that the businessman’s high-end taste was to blame for the couple’s marital woes.
“Louie pissed her money away,” Margaret declared during a phone call with her husband.
Rachel Fuda’s husband, John, even referred to Teresa as “the poster child for mortgage fraud,” giving a nod to her 2015 prison sentence. He yelled during a featured clip — “When I need my money laundered I’ll call you!”
The Real Housewives of New Jersey premieres on May 5, at 8 pm ET, on Bravo.
