Porsha Williams’ Ex Simon Denies Escaping To Dubai … Claims ‘RHOA’ Star Is A Boldface Liar!
Porsha Williams’ estranged husband, Simon Guobadia, is disputing her claim that he left the country amid the pair’s ongoing divorce war.
Guobadia dismissed the Real Housewives of Atlanta star’s allegation in court documents obtained by Radar Online.
Porsha’s attorney fired the allegation as part of a motion to grant exclusive access to the ex-couple’s marital home, writing — “Wife further shows that Husband appears to have fled the country to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and it is unknown when or whether he intends to return.”
Porsha filed for divorce in February, after a 15-month marriage. She requested that the court enforce the terms outlined in the pair’s prenuptial agreement.
Porsha explained that her decision to split came after discovering stunning allegations against her husband.
Her lawyer explained — “Wife shows that the news reports of Husband’s alleged immigration fraud, and what appeared to be an imminent threat of deportation, were shocking and affected Wife’s mental and emotional wellbeing. None of this information was ever disclosed by Husband to Wife, despite Wife having previously inquired about Husband’s immigration status and criminal history.”
The divorce filing stated — “Since learning of Husband’s checkered immigration history and status, Wife began to question everything that she initially believed to be true as it relates to her Husband’s character, immigration, business dealings, etc, and began to uncover additional information that Husband failed to disclose to Wife.”
The Bravo star’s lawyer added — “[Porsha] did not wish to remain married to a stranger, and filed for divorce.”
Guobadia recently requested a restraining order against his estranged wife and demanded exclusive use of the marital home.
Last month, Porsha requested an emergency hearing, claiming that Guobadia had blocked her from accessing their Georgia home by changing the locks. She accused Guobadia of shutting her out of the house while overseas in Dubai, changing the locks and the garage codes “multiple times to thwart Wife’s attempts to access her home, seemingly to be vindictive and retaliatory for wanting to divorce him.”
Porsha noted her estranged husband’s “erratic conduct” in her plea to have sole access to the home.
She claimed — “[Simon] appears to have fled the country to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and it is unknown when or whether he intends to return.”
Guobadia hit back at the accusation, stating — “Wife continues to falsely state in her filings with the Court that the Husband is fleeing the country.”
He told the court that his trip overseas was work related, writing — “Wife has traveled with Husband over 30 times, including to Dubai, United Arab Emirates. She is very aware of Husband’s travels overseas and business endeavors. For Wife to continue to make such allegations of “fleeing the country” is not only untrue and highly inflammatory, but a violation of this Court’s February 22, 2024 Automatic Domestic Standing Order that prohibits Wife from doing any act injuring, maltreating, vilifying, threatening, molesting, or harassing the adverse party.”
He asked the court to sanction his soon-to-be ex for “intentionally filing court documents under oath that are not true and consequently constitute perjury,” and hold the reality star in contempt for her statements.
A judge has not yet ruled on the case.
