Janelle and Kody Brown’s Son Garrison Dead By Suicide – Get Details!

Janelle and Kody Brown are grieving the passing of their son, Robert Garrison Brown.

In a heartfelt joint statement shared on Instagram on Tuesday, March 5, Janelle, 54, alongside Kody, 55, expressed their profound sorrow:

“Kody and I are deeply saddened to announce the loss of our beautiful boy Robert Garrison Brown. He was a beacon of light for everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. His absence will create a void in our lives so immense that it leaves us breathless. We kindly request that our privacy be respected during this difficult time and invite you to join us in commemorating his life.”

Kody Brown also shared a statement very similar to Janelle’s, along with the same photographs of their late son, at the same time on his social media.

Garrison, whose full name is Robert Garrison Brown, was discovered deceased at his residence in Flagstaff, Arizona, from a self-inflicted gunshot wound on Tuesday, March 5, as confirmed by Us Weekly. He was 25 years old.

Garrison’s brother, Gabriel Brown found his body upon entering their home and immediately contacted the Flagstaff Police Department. No foul play is suspected, and authorities are currently investigating what is believed to be a case of suicide.

Janelle and Kody Brown, apart from Garrison and Gabriel are parents to Logan, 29, Madison, 27, Hunter, 26, and Savanah, 18. (Janelle concluded her spiritual marriage with Kody in December 2022).

Garrison made the decision to move into his own place in 2021 following disagreements with his father, Kody, regarding the strict COVID-19 precautions Kody insisted upon for his large family. The tension between Kody and his sons Garrison and Gabriel escalated after Kody stated they needed to apologize to mend their relationship with him.

Gabriel, 22, detailed their strained relationship during the 18th season of “Sister Wives,” filmed in early 2022. “Me and Garrison are at odds with my dad, because when we expressed our discontent at how things were going with COVID, I was met with just a wall,” Gabriel shared. “There was no line of dialogue. I think that that is what really drove the wedge between us.”

During that period, Janelle expressed her concerns regarding the mental well-being of Gabriel and Garrison.

“Gabriel feels everything very, very deeply. But he’s also the kid who doesn’t say anything,” she noted at the time. “And Garrison just seems angry or sadder, like, he’s not as happy-go-lucky as he used to be.”

In a December 2023 episode of Sister Wives, Janelle revealed that there had been “no reconciliation” between Kody and their sons.

Janelle identified the family conflicts as a pivotal factor leading to the dissolution of her marriage with Kody. Kody’s marriages to Christine and Meri concluded in 2021 and 2022, respectively. He remains married to his fourth wife, Robyn Brown.

“I had to choose between having my boys in my house or having Kody there,” Janelle shared. “So when Kody would come, the boys would have to be out of the house. I’d have to spray everything down with Lysol and stuff because he was very afraid of getting the virus from them. So it became really stressful. And then it slowly evolved as they started to get angrier and angrier with each other.”

Despite harboring feelings of anger towards Kody, the family matriarch confessed her hope that time might eventually mend the fractured relationships between Kody and his sons. In a November 2023 interview with E! News, she expressed, “I’m hoping that over time he can find a relationship with the children that he’s estranged from now.”
