‘Summer House’ Star Lindsay Hubbard Doubles Down on Accusing ex Carl Radke of Using Cocaine
Lindsay Hubbard accused her ex-fiancé, Carl Radke, of using cocaine during Thursday’s episode of Summer House.
The jilted reality star took to her Instagram Story to say — “After watching back this week’s episode, I wish I had used better wording.”
She added — “I was emotional and hurt by what had transpired earlier in the night and what I said was meant to be a private conversation at home with one of my best girlfriends.”
Lindsay continued — “I have never questioned his sobriety before this moment and from day one I was his biggest supporter. I have always been transparent on the show about my feelings and leaned on my friends for support and that was my only intention here.”
Lindsay Hubbard implied that her then-fiancé was in an altered state multiple times throughout the episode. Lindsay, who was engaged to Carl until last August, told her housemate, Gabby Prescod, that his dismissal of her feelings exhibited behavior that was “very reminiscent of, like, Carl on cocaine.”
Amanda Batula later said at a club that Lindsay had claimed of Carl — “He’s so mean to me. I can’t do this. I think he’s on something.”
Lindsay also referred to Carl as “Cocaine Carl” after leaving the club. Her allegation was called into question after Gabby claimed that Carl “sounded like a sober man” during a phone call that same night.
The couple addressed Lindsay’s “hurtful words” the next morning.
“I’m f–king sober,” Carl insisted. “In that moment, you were not. You drank all day long and are rude and aggressive to me when I’m trying to be supportive.”
Carl decided to get sober after his brother, Curtis, died from an overdose in August 2020.
“It’s a wake-up call,” the Loverboy employee shared during the “Summer House” reunion in May 2021. “This was a path my brother went down, and clearly the path I’ve been choosing can sometimes lead me down that way. I can’t live like that.”
Last month, Carl told Page Six that it was difficult to watch his now-ex doubting his sobriety on the show.
“Watching that back, it’s uncomfortable and especially, you know, when you’re in a relationship and that’s being brought up when I’ve been very focused and really trying to stay on track,” he told the outlet. “Anybody that knows me knows that alcohol and cocaine were my issues. I have not touched those in three years, so cheers to that. I’m proud of that.”
He added — “Unfortunately, it’s going to be something that does get talked about on this season.”
Lindsay and Carl met while filming the reality show, in 2017. Carl proposed in August 2022 on a Hamptons beach as cameras rolled. The scene was featured during Season 7 of “Summer House.” Carl ended the engagement only three months before the couple was scheduled to tie the knot in Mexico.
“It’s been scary. It’s been confusing. It’s been emotional. And I feel really bad with how everything ultimately played out. If I could go back and make something a little bit easier or better, I would,” Carl said during a November appearance on the “Salty With Captain Lee” podcast.
Carl noted at the time that he still believed that cutting ties with his ex was for the best, adding — “I do firmly think Lindsay and I going in separate directions will be healthier for us in the long run.”
