’90 Day Fiance’ Angela Deem Made Suspicious Posts Following Husband Michael Ilesanmi’s Disappearance
Two days following the disappearance of her husband, Michael Ilesanmi, from their rural Georgia residence on February 23, Angela Deem posted a collection of enigmatic quotes.
“You’ve been lied on, talked about, plotted against and STILL BLESSED,” one quote read which Angela, 58, reposted reposted on Monday, February 26, credited to @itsvoritz. “Manipulation is when they blame you for your reaction to their disrespect. Read that again,” she reshared in quote pulled from @themilionairesmarathon.
Angela Deem shared a quote from @mygardencountry on her Instagram Stories, stating:
“I’m proud of myself for not being fake. I’m difficult sometimes and have a few screws loose but I’m 100 percent me.”
As reported, Angela revealed through a TikTok video that Michael had vanished, stating he left all his possessions at her residence and that her home security system did not record his departure. This revelation was made merely hours after she posted cryptic messages.
The startling revelation of Michael Ilesanmi’s disappearance came shortly after the couple provided an update on their extensive spousal visa process in a collective statement during a 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? trailer released on February 14.
“We’ve waited three years for the spousal visa interview,” while Angela explained, “This is the most important day of our lives. I need to get my man home to America. If that visa’s denied, it’s over.” Michael said.
Since 2018, viewers have followed the challenging journey of Michael and Angela, which began when they were featured in the second season of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. After connecting online, their long-distance relationship led to their first face-to-face encounter during the show’s season.
Throughout seasons 3 and 7 of 90 Day Fiancé as well as seasons 5, 6, and 7 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?, audiences have seen Michael and Angela navigate numerous hurdles in their quest to be together, particularly in their immigration journey. A significant setback occurred in season 5 when Michael was denied a K-1 visa — also known as the fiancé visa — which would have permitted him to enter the United States as Angela’s fiancé, giving them 90 days to marry.
Following the denial of the K-1 visa, Michael and Angela opted for an alternative strategy — they decided to marry in Michael’s home country and then apply for the CR-1 visa, also known as the spousal visa. This visa would allow Michael to enter the United States as the spouse of an American citizen.
Michael and Angela tied the knot in Nigeria in January 2020, marking the last in-person encounter between the two for the following two years, a separation prolonged by COVID-19 restrictions. Their reunion was captured when they returned for the seventh season of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? in August 2022. Angela disclosed that she hadn’t seen her husband since their wedding day, and the season documented their first visit together in two years.
Upon her return to the United States, Angela encountered more than just geographical hurdles in her marriage, she was confronted with evidence of Michael’s infidelity. A confidant of Angela’s disclosed that Michael was involved in an affair with another woman, furnishing her with voice messages and text exchanges between the two, which surfaced after Angela’s trip back from Nigeria where she had been aiming to mend their relationship.
