Shereé Whitfield is back in the hunt for love after splitting from Love & Marriage: Huntsville star, Martell Holt.
“Since I’ve been single, I have been working on myself a lot. I would like my partner to be serious and add value to my life in all aspects,” the Real Housewives of Atlanta star told Page Six, via a rep.
Shereé fired a subtle shot at her ex when she added that she hoped to find a partner who was unlike her past boyfriends.
“This time around, I am looking for someone who is emotionally available and supportive,” the reality star said. “I am looking for the qualities that my past relationships did not have.”
The 54-year-old explained that while she and Martell are “friends” she is “not involved with his personal life.”
She declared — “I am a single woman today.”
Shereé went public with her relationship with Martell in July 2022. She told TMZ that they met “through a mutual friend” after All About The Tea shared cell phone footage that seemingly revealed the Atlanta designer hand-in-hand with the OWN star. A source told TMZ that Martell and Shereé had been seeing each other for more than two months.
“We’ve been just hanging out,” she said at the time. “I’m enjoying life right now.”
Shereé’s co-star, Kandi Burruss, raised an eyebrow at the budding romance and publicly questioned Martell’s motives.
“I don’t want her to be in a situation where it feels like she’s being used for publicity,” Kandi said during an interview with Atlanta radio station V-103.
In May, 2023, RHOA veteran, Kenya Moore, agreed that Martell might be cozying up to her co-star for some extra time in the spotlight.
“Some people like to be on TV, you know, to have a little moment,” Kenya said during an appearance on Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” podcast.
She added — “Yeah, some people like a moment.”
Shereé implied that she and Martell had called it quits during the RHOA reunion, which aired in September.
“When he’s with me, we have the most amazing time. He’s very respectful, but I pulled back a little bit because I’m always getting caught up in his mess,” she explained.
She quipped — “I really, really liked him a lot, but I like me more.”
Last month, Martell’s ex-wife, Melody Holt, accused him of faking his romance with the RHOA star.
Martell stormed off the “Love and Marriage: Huntsville” reunion stage after Melody claimed that he had stated in court documents that his relationship with Shereé was a “business arrangement.”
“I know what’s in the paperwork, the same way in the paperwork in the court case where you were asked if you were in a relationship with Shereé and you said it was a business arrangement, that’s in the paperwork too…verbatim,” Melody said.
