At the 2024 Grammys, audience members criticized Taylor Swift for not acknowledging Celine Dion onstage following her Album of the Year win for “Midnights.”
The “Anti-Hero” artist, Taylor Swift was seen sharing heartfelt embraces with her collaborators Jack Antonoff and Lana Del Rey just before hurriedly taking her award from music icon Celine Dion. Dion, who had unexpectedly appeared at Sunday’s ceremony to present the evening’s concluding award, was notably bypassed in the moment.

Some individuals expressed the belief that this incident would mar Swift’s legacy.
“Taylor Swift will never EVER live down ignoring Céline Dion at the Grammys,” one individual remarked on Twitter.
“Taylor Swift didn’t deserve AOTY and F—K HER for ignoring Celine Dion on stage,” another person stated forthrightly.
Real Housewives of Potomac celebrity Candiace Dillard also weighed in on the situation.
“I don’t like how Tay didn’t acknowledge Queen Celine. #GRAMMYs,” the Bravo star posted on X.
Media figure and erstwhile correspondent for The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Kalen Allen, also offered a passionate perspective on the incident.
“I’m not listening to any excuses…especially after we watched how Miley [Cyrus] acted with Mariah [Carey] at the show’s start. This was not [Swift’s] first time at the #GRAMMYs but her fourth time winning this award,” he wrote.
