90 Day Fiance: Tim Malcolm Talks Gay Affair with Armando’s Husband Kenny

90 Day Fiancé personality, Tim Malcolm, is speaking out about how Armando Rubio reacted to his friendship with his husband, Kenny Niedermeier, during the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way tell-all.  

“My heart kind of stopped because I’ve been defending my sexuality for so long and that it does not help my case. I mean, if I heard someone else say that, I would think exactly what I know. The majority of the people that heard that think it sounds bad,” Tim told In Touch. 

Tim, 43, was hit with blowback from Armando, 35, during the December 2023  “Other Way” tell-all, over his friendship with Armando’s husband, Kenny, 61. Armando was not happy that Tim had referred to Kenny as “daddy” in text exchanges, and Tim admitted that he understood his reaction. 

Tim shared how he felt as Armando questioned his relationship with Kenny on the tell-all stage. 

He said — “I was just kind of like, ‘Oh my God, this sounds horrible.’ And I mean, I know in my mind, and Kenny knows it is playful, there’s nothing to it, but I knew that it was going to be a big deal the next day. And I mean, I saw it everywhere.” 

Tim added that he had since rewatched the episode a few times with friends, and was able to “laugh about it.” He maintained that Armando’s reaction was “embarrassing, surprising and shocking all at the same time.”

“Just the face that I make as the words are coming out of his mouth is very funny because I really wasn’t expecting that and I don’t think Kenny was either, but I think Kenny just, that’s his husband,” Tim said. “So, I mean he knows him a lot better. But I kind of had always known that Armando knew Kenny and I spoke, and I had imagined that he had read our texts because they seemed like they have a very open relationship.” 

Tim made his reality TV debut during Season 3 of “90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days,” which followed his romance with Jeniffer Tarazona. Jennifer questioned Tim’s sexuality amid a lack of physical intimacy, which sparked lots of fan chatter on the topic.  

Tim has addressed the rumors surrounding his sexuality multiple times over the years. 

The North Carolina native took to Instagram Live to respond to critics who shaded his fashion game, specifically his decision to wear pink flared pants during the “90 Day: The Single Life” season 3 tell-all. The special aired in November 2022. 

“Y’all don’t know this logistical s–t about TV, that y’all don’t really get to hear or see. It’s not as simple as like, why would he wear that?” Tim commented at the time. 

Tim is currently appearing on “90 Day: The Single Life” Season 4 alongside his best friend, Veronica Rodriquez. The TLC series recently featured Tim’s first date with a woman named Luisa. 

90 Day: The Single Life airs on Mondays at 8 pm ET on TLC.
