90 Day Fiance’s Stacey Silva Rushed Into Emergency Kidney Surgery
Darcey and Stacey star, Stacey Silva, is recovering from an emergency kidney surgery, In Touch reports.
Stacey’s manager, Michael London, told the outlet — “Over the weekend Stacey was in extreme pain.”
London explained that Stacey’s husband, Florian Sukaj, and her twin sister, Darcey Silva, “rushed her to the Emergency Room at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami, Florida.”
He stated that “emergency surgery was performed on her kidney” and that the TLC star had handled the ordeal well.
London added that his client “needs to have a subsequent surgery in a couple of weeks,” and “doctors expect her to have a full recovery.”
The 90 Day Fiancé alum initially revealed her health crisis to fans and followers via a post on her Instagram Story, on January 20. Stacey was snapped wearing a blue surgical cap, hospital gown and face mask, while attached to IVs and monitors.
Stacey captioned the photo — “Thank you for all your prayers, positive vibes and well wishes,” but did not offer any additional details about her health scare.
Stacey, 49, made her reality TV debut in 2017 alongside her sister, Darcey, on “90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days.” In 2020, the popular duo landed their own spinoff show, “Darcey and Stacey.”
Stacey wed her husband, Florian, 32, in April 2020, with only the couple and an officiant in attendance. The duo tied the knot for a second time at Saybrook Point Resort & Marina in Connecticut, in November 2022. TLC captured the wedding festivities in an episode that aired in April 2023. The wedding planning took a dark turn when Stacey and Darcey’s father, Mike Silva, suffered a stroke only days before the nuptials.
Stacey confessed that she was struggling to stay focused on her big day, during her bachelorette party in New York City.
“I’m supposed to get married in a couple days, but I can’t even think about that,” Stacey shared at the time.
Stacey spoke to People about her dream wedding when TLC aired the lavish event.
“I think, the first time around, it was a COVID quarantine wedding. We did what we had to do, like the rest of the world, and do the right thing, stay quarantined,” Stacey told the outlet. “It wasn’t the ideal, but it’s what we had to deal with at the time.”
