Thomas Ravenel Apologizes to Olivia Flowers After Exposing She ‘Used’ Him for Fame!
Thomas Ravenel posted a public apology to Olivia Flowers after claiming the Southern Charm star hooked up with him to get on the Bravo show.
“I’d like to make a statement about my interview concerning Olivia Flowers. I was not trying to hurt her,” Thomas wrote on X Friday.
He continued — “When I thought the interview was over, I stupidly made what I thought was a self-deprecating remark that ‘MAYBE she used me.”
“I had no idea that would be the story and I sincerely apologize to her. I have the utmost respect for her as a person and friend. It was a stupid throw away line and I regret it,” the Southern Charm alum stated.
Thomas Ravenel spoke to All About the Tea after Olivia was outed for her one-night stand with the ex politician during the Season 9 reunion. He noted during the interview that Olivia did not have a connection to the show before their covert romp, back in January 2017.
“She used me! Olivia was in Atlanta pursuing an acting career and she wanted to get on that show (Southern Charm), that’s why she befriended me,” he claimed.
Thomas, who explained that he asked Olivia out when he was in town for his nephew’s wedding, appeared on the Bravo series from 2014-2018.
He said — “She was 24 years old (at the time) NOT 20, like she claimed on the reunion.”
“It was a fun evening and one thing led to another after she invited me to her condo,” he continued. “After that night, I never called her again. It was a one time deal.”
Thomas added — “I would have never acknowledged having sex with her until they brought me up at the reunion.”
The father of three explained that he gave the interview to clear up the timeline of the rendezvous and to deny that he had cheated on his ex, Kathryn Dennis, when he hooked up with Olivia.
He said — “I was mostly trying to get the facts straight which proved she didn’t betray her friendship with Kathryn Dennis.”
Thomas, 61, shared an on-and-off relationship with Dennis from 2013-2016. The ex lovers share two children together.
Kathryn and Olivia, 31, have been close friends since 2021.
The one-nighter was exposed during a heated discussion between Olivia and her former friend, Taylor Ann Green, who had landed in the hot seat over her alleged hookup with Olivia’s ex, Austen Kroll.
Green teased the bombshell when she advised Olivia — “Forgive as you would want to be forgiven.”
“Go ahead and say it. I already see what you’re trying to do,” Olivia snapped. “You’ve been hanging this over my head. I wanna see it. Say it. Say it.”
Green replied — “The whole Thomas situation.”
Host, Andy Cohen, asked — “Thomas Ravenel?”
“Yeah,” Olivia explained. “I was fresh out of college, 20 years old, dumb drunken night, one time, had a hookup with T-Rav, and I wanted to take to my grave. Who wouldn’t?”
Olivia stated that she didn’t know Kathryn at the time. Kathryn backed up her pal, reassuring her that she did “nothing wrong” in a subsequent post on Instagram.
Kathryn wrote alongside photos of Olivia — “We have never been closer, you did nothing wrong and don’t need to worry about being judged by me ✨.”
