Jenna Bush Hager and Hoda Kotb MOCK Selena Gomez
Jenna Bush Hager and Hoda Kotb swapped banter about Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s “Golden Globes” smooch session, during Monday’s episode of Today with Hoda and Jenna.
The co-hosts were discussing the annual award show when they mentioned the hot topic of the evening — the public “PDA” and “kisses” among the stars.
“So, here, let’s look at the first one, Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco,” Hoda said, as a photo of the headline-grabbing kiss appeared on a screen behind them.
She added — “It looks like they’re in a closet of some sort, doesn’t it? What are those boxes?”
Jenna joked that the couple was “definitely backstage or, like, at a FedEx store.”
Hoda chuckled over the “good smooch” before gushing over Gomez’s social media post about the behind-the-scenes lip-lock.
The star captioned her photo — “I won.”
Gomez, who was sporting a red Giorgio Armani dress with cutouts, had her hand around her boyfriend’s neck as they shared a passionate kiss amid cardboard boxes and paper bags.
Gomez did not take home the prize for “Best Actress in a Television Series — Musical of Comedy” for her role in “Only Murders in the Building,” but reminded fans and followers that she “won” with Blanco. Gomez previously walked the red carpet solo, so exactly when Blanco showed up to support the actress remains unclear.
The 31-year-old singer has not been shy about basking in her romance with the music producer during various outings and on social media. Last week, the pair was spotted getting cozy while sitting courtside at a Los Angeles Lakers game.
Gomez also shared a series of photos snapped during the couple’s New Years’s Eve festivities.
In December, the “Same Old Love” singer went public six months into her relationship with Blanco, shocking fans. She has since defended the pair’s relationship on social media on numerous occasions.
Gomez previously called her beau her “absolute everything” and the “best thing that’s ever happened” to her.
She wrote in a separate comment — “He has treated me better than any human being on this planet.”
