‘Life After Lockup’ Star Chance Pitt Arrested for STEALING a Car and Credit Cards!
Life After Lockup star Earl Chance Pitt has been arrested again, marking his third arrest this month, and this time, for a felony charge.
The latest arrest follows a string of incidents that began with a DWI charge on December 8 and a subsequent arrest for leaving the scene of a crash involving his GMC Sierra pickup and a semi tractor-trailer on December 18.
According to court documents obtained by Starcasm, the most recent arrest on December 28 relates to Chance stealing a woman’s car from a hospital parking lot soon after the crash. He is accused of using the woman’s credit card at multiple convenience stores for various purchases, including a drink, gas, and cigarettes.
Chance now faces a felony charge of tampering with a motor vehicle in the first degree and a misdemeanor charge of fraudulent use of a credit card. Starcasm obtained the probable cause statement for Chance’s latest charges, providing detailed insight into the events.
On the morning of December 18, the same day as the truck crash, a woman reported her red Ford Escape stolen from a local hospital parking lot. Hospital security footage showed her vehicle leaving at 2:12 AM, about half an hour after the semi crash involving Chance’s truck.
The woman later found her vehicle but discovered that her credit card had been used for purchases at two different convenience stores during the car’s absence. Police investigation confirmed these transactions.
Upon reviewing the convenience store’s security footage, an officer identified Chance, stating, “I immediately recognized the male subject as Earl Pitt due to previous calls for service I responded to involving Pitt.”
The narrative further revealed that Chance had been involved in a domestic disturbance at the Troy Inn and Suites that same morning, involving Chance and his spouse. It is speculated that the spouse might be Alyssa, a 24-year-old fan of Love After Lockup, though their legal marital status remains unclear.
Chance later went to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, claiming his truck was stolen. During an interview with a detective, Chance admitted to stealing the woman’s car and using her credit card.
The affidavit states:
“Pitt explained he left the scene of the motor vehicle accident and went to Troy Inn and Suites. After leaving the hotel, Pitt arrived at Mercy Lincoln and observed [the woman’s] vehicle in the parking lot. After looking through the window of the Ford, Pitt believed he could gain entry into the vehicle due to it being a push-to-start vehicle. When Pitt entered the Ford, he noticed the Ford was low on gas. Pitt went to FastLane and purchased fuel, in fear that the Ford would run out of gas. Pitt used [the woman’s] credit card for his purchases because he did not have any money in his possession. When Pitt was asked if he stole [the woman’s] car, put gas in it and dropped the car off on Highway C he replied “Yes.”
Chance is currently held on a $25,000 bond and is scheduled for an initial appearance on January 2. He is also on parole from his 2014 robbery convictions, which might be affected by these recent charges.
In the second half of Season 5 of Life After Lockup, viewers revisit Tayler George and Chance Pitt, a couple originally introduced in the sixth season of Love After Lockup. Their romance blossomed online while Chance was incarcerated for a seven-year term due to grand theft auto and burglary charges from a bank robbery. They connected through letters and phone calls. Once Chance was released, the pair started living together, but soon encountered relationship difficulties. This led to a negative perception of Chance among viewers due to his unfavorable behavior towards Tayler.
Tayler and Chance expanded their family with the birth of their son, Mason Carter Pitt, in April 2023. Mason’s arrival was featured in an episode of the show. Despite embracing fatherhood, Chance’s treatment of Tayler continues to raise concerns. In a new clip from Life After Lockup, Tayler confronts Chance with allegations of cheating. His reaction to these accusations is quite astonishing.
