‘RHOBH’ Star Dorit Kemsley Blasted After Racist Instagram Caption, PK Defends His Wife!
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Dorit Kemsley is having a hard time after Garcelle Beauvais called her privilege which was highlighted in the December 20 episode.
Dorit referred to a conversation with Garcelle, where the latter questioned her for mentioning Sutton Stracke’s make-out session with a driver, as an “attack.” Garcelle, host of the “Going To Bed With Garcelle” podcast, retorted, urging Dorit to recognize her privileged “bubble.”
Fans of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills were eager to see Dorit’s response to the episode. Instead of admitting to her mistake and distorted view of the incident, Dorit reinforced her stance on social media with a post of herself captioned, “Happily living in my bubble.”
Anticipating backlash, Dorit shared a “holiday throwback,” picture on Instagram, featuring her husband, PK Kemsley, and their children, Jagger, 9, and Phoenix, 7. She captioned it, “The only bubble I live in is a love bubble. Sending much love to everyone for a happy and joyous holiday season.”
This post was perceived as a defiant statement about her use of “attack,” prompting some followers to label it as “tone deaf.” Then, PK stepped in to defend his wife.
One follower commented, “The people that broke into your house attacked you. That’s an attack. Your conversation with Garcelle was not an attack. Simple.” Another urged Dorit to take responsibility, praising Garcelle’s patience. A third criticized the post for being more tone-deaf, suggesting Dorit wasn’t genuinely apologetic.
PK responded to a comment that suggested the post was a preemptive move to avoid being “canceled,” saying, “The only thing my wife needs saving from is hearing from idiots like you.”
Dorit didn’t stop there, she posted another pro-bubble picture with a series of selfies, captioned, “happily living in my bubble.”
Given her approach to the situation with Garcelle, it appears unlikely that Dorit will seek to resolve the issue soon. This raises the question of whether PK will become more involved in the unfolding drama.
Dorit Kemsley became a part of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in its seventh season in 2016 and has remained a principal cast member since then.
Dorit’s comments on Instagram were perceived as racially insensitive. Sasha Belle, a former contestant on “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” joined the public outcry, expressing disappointment with the behavior of the “Housewife.”
