RHOP: Karen Huger Refuses to Support Robyn Dixon Until She Stops Lying About Juan Dixon Cheating!
Karen Huger called out her “Real Housewives of Potomac” co-star, Robyn Dixon, for twisting the truth in a new interview with Us Weekly.
“Robyn and I have the most challenging relationship in the core group,” Karen told the outlet. “I want her to win, but I want her to stop lying. If she can’t stop lying, what I’d like Robyn to do is accept the fact that we don’t believe their lies.”
Robyn, 44, backed her husband, Juan Dixon, 45, earlier this year, after he was hit with cheating allegations by a woman who alleged that he had paid for her hotel room during a planned visit. Juan told Robyn that he paid for the mystery woman’s room because she had lost her wallet. Robyn dodged the brewing scandal as the cast filmed Season 7, and later accepted Juan’s story.
Karen, 60, explained that she couldn’t support Robyn until she “owns the truth.”
“Own it and stop being ridiculous about it,” she said. “Things happen in everyone’s marriage. I’ve been married for 27 years. It’s not easy, but she needs to put it at ease and especially if you’re going to be a member of this core group.”
Fans let Robyn know how they felt about her handling of the situation when they booed her at BravoCon, earlier this month. Karen noted that while she had her own issues with Robyn, she believed the crowd reaction to be over the top.
“I didn’t like the boos for Robyn. I don’t think she deserves that,” she explained. “I do think her feet need to be held to the fire, and I think Robyn lied and needs to stop lying … Look, I’m a grown woman. I’m triple 20 now, so I would’ve approached it differently. I would’ve said, “Look, stay out of my business. You may not agree with the way I’m doing it, but this is how it’s done in my home and in my relationship.’ Instead of giving us some cockamamie excuse when the receipt is right there.”
Karen alleged that she saw Juan holding hands with an unidentified blonde woman, an accusation Juan denied. After the January episode aired, Robyn spoke to Us Weekly about her relationship with Karen, and how she felt about her cast mate’s involvement in her marriage.
“Karen and I kind of have like a love-hate relationship. We’re going at each other, and I can only speak for myself, but I carry on like nothing happened,” Robyn told the outlet, in February. “I have to keep it moving and so Karen and I have a love-hate relationship where we throw daggers at each other and then we just keep it moving. We respect and appreciate one another just because we’ve been doing this so long together and we do understand the nature of the beast and what we’re doing.”
The Real Housewives of Potomac airs Sundays, at 8 pm ET, on Bravo.
