Married to Medicine: Quad Webb Defends Crashing Lateasha’s Bachelorette Party
Quad Webb took to social media to set the record straight after Dr. Jackie Walters questioned why she showed up at Lateasha Lunceford’s bachelorette party during the most recent episode of Married to Medicine.
Fans know that Quad was taken aback after she wasn’t warned by producers that her ex-husband, Dr. Gregory Lunceford, and his then-fiancée, Lateasha, were joining the cast. Dr. Heavenly Kimes asserted that the move actually saved Quad’s job, as most drama thus far has involved Quad and the new couple on the Married to Medicine block.
As previously reported, Quad was not asked back to the show for Season 10 until her ex-husband and his new bride stepped into the picture, inadvertently safeguarding Quad’s position.
Last month, LaTeasha shared, via Heavenly’s YouTube channel, that producers had repeatedly asked her to join the show. She explained that while she was initially apprehensive, she eventually agreed, after much encouragement from Heavenly, Dr. Jackie Walters, and Dr. Simone Whitmore. The OGs helped build her confidence which led to her accepting the offer.
The ladies have been balancing getting to know Tea while staying loyal to Quad, but Phaedra Parks pushed boundaries when she invited Quad to the bachelorette party she and Toya Bush-Harris planned for the bride-to-be. Toya was irritated by the unexpected plot twist, but Quad and Tea’s first interaction was actually pleasant. Tea and Quad even hugged as the bride opened her gifts, which grabbed the attention of Toya, who later accused the newbie of acting fake.
Toya ordered Phaedra to walk Quad out of the venue and Tea agreed, after Quad asked the guest of honor if she should leave. Jackie later wondered, via a confessional spot, why Quad showed up at all. Fans chimed in on social media as the episode aired to ask the same question.
Quad jumped on X to explain her actions, writing — “I’m doing my job; I’m never anywhere I’m not invited. My job told me Quad this is your que then I walked in #married2med.”
Quad also reposted a clip of Tea admitting that her new co-star was right when she asserted that Gregory could be controlling.
Quad triumphantly declared that she’d been vindicated in the post’s caption.
She wrote — “What’s in the dark will come to light. I tried to tell ‘the people’. We often in society look at a person’s title and assume that makes them perfect and of good character. Yet, what we must realize is; people are people and titles don’t make them perfect!”
She continued, “Vindication is MINE #married2med.”
