Mauricio Umansky Sued For $12 Million Amid Kyle Richards’ Lesbian Affair
Mauricio Umansky is currently facing personal and professional challenges, including a new lawsuit amid his wife, Kyle Richards’ lesbian affair.
Mauricio Umansky has landed in a new real estate scandal amid his public split from estranged wife, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, Kyle Richards.
A Los Angeles property owner filed a lawsuit against UMRO Reality Corp, a company owned by Mauricio Umansky. The lawsuit claims that tenants placed by the company’s brokers allegedly caused about $1 million worth of damage to the property, furnishings, art, designer clothes and the garden, per a Radar Online report. The lawsuit claims that the nightmare tenants also broke into the restricted wine cellar and went though $100k worth of vintage wine.
The lawsuit alleges that UMRO was aware of the renter’s “contractual fraud” history but vouched for them anyway, in order secure a $55k per month tenant for the $12 million Pacific Palisades mansion.
The lawsuit, filed by Stephen McPherson in L.A. Superior Court, read — “At the end of the Lease term (i.e., April 17, 2021) the Tenants refused to vacate the Premises and return possession thereof to the Plaintiffs and to file an unlawful detainer action to regain possession of the Premises from the Tenants. Plaintiffs have been forced to incur additional legal fees as a result.”
This isn’t the first time that UMRO, also known as The Agency, has landed in legal controversy.
Mauricio is also being sued by a developer and his realtor who claim that he sold the seized home of Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue, the son of the president of his native country, Equatorial Guinea, to himself rather than present their $40 million bid. Mauricio and his partner, Mauricio Oberfeld went on to pocket a $37 million dollar profit after reselling the mansion.
The legal war is ongoing in L.A. Superior Court. The developer is seeking approximately $35 million in damages.
McPherson’s lawsuit, which was filed on May 2021, cites two of UMRO’s real estate agents, who supposedly allowed the married couple into the furnished property in October 2020, under a six month lease.
The lawsuit stated — “During their occupancy at the Premises, the (tenants) have engaged in extreme, outrageous and wrongful conduct,” before listing the shocking list of allegations.
The pair purportedly rifled through a storage closet and damaged pricey designer fashions and removed artwork as well as some furniture pieces. The couple was also accused of uprooting the garden and giving away two couches to the husband of the housekeeper.
The suit claimed that UMRO should have vetted the couple, who reportedly had about a half dozen similar allegations against them.
“They introduced the Tenants to the Plaintiffs in the Lease Transaction despite the risk of harm evidenced by the (the couples) extensive history of fraud and unlawful detainer; – they brought a shell corporation, represented by a convicted felon to the Plaintiffs as a prospective tenant in the Lease Transaction and they failed to inform the Plaintiffs of those facts,” the lawsuit said.
Mauricio’s company denied the allegations then filed a cross-complaint against the couple and the shell company responsible for renting the property.
Documents stated — “Each of the Cross-Defendants were responsible in whole or in part for the injuries, if any suffered by plaintiffs in this case.”
In addition to Mauricio’s legal woes, his wife, Kyle Richards, has been shamelessly engaged in a lesbian affair with country musician, Morgan Wade. The two have been spotted around town, flirting and showing signs of affection in the public. Kyle is so in love with Morgan that she’s asked her husband of 27 years for a divorce so she can he exclusive with the country music star. The unfolding dynamics of this situation will be showcased in Season 13 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
