David Eason Under CRIMINAL Investigation By CPS For Abusing Jenelle Evans’ Son Jace

David Eason, the husband Jenelle Evans, has become the subject of a criminal investigation as Child Protective Services investigates his alleged assault on the Teen Mom 2 alum’s 14-year-old son, Jace.

The U.S. Sun reports that a law enforcement insider has confirmed the criminal probe into the couple amid allegations that David assaulted the teen. 

Sources previously alleged that both CPS and the Columbus County Sheriff’s Department were investigating an alleged incident after Jace ran away from the couple’s property three times, between August and September. Jace was taken into custody by CPS after he was hospitalized for a mental evaluation following the third runaway attempt. His grandmother, Barbara Evans, has been taking care of Jace since he was released from the hospital on October 10. 

The development marks the first time that any police source labeled the situation “an ongoing criminal investigation,” not simply a CPS case. 

A special court hearing took place on October 11, which reportedly led to an expanded CPS investigation. A judge supposedly ordered Jenelle to bring in her son, Kaiser, 9, and 6-year-old daughter, Ensley, to be questioned without her husband present. The case worker purportedly chastised the MTV alum for making it difficult for the agency to interview the kids on previous occasions. The judge ordered that Jenelle return with the two children to allow an interview with a CPS caseworker. 

The Ashley reported that Kaiser and Ensley will be questioned apart from their mother. The sheriff’s deputy, who interviewed Jace at the hospital, followed up with the youth during a special hearing, last week. The official asked for backup evidence of of Jace’s alleged injuries and CPS requested permission to speak to other family members who may have information about other incidents of alleged abuse. 

A source stated — “The judge asked a lot of questions about what Jace saw, and she took the allegations of abuse against the other minors in the home very seriously.”

New information released last week revealed that Jace had stopped attending school in August, after the second runaway incident. 

“Jace hasn’t been in school since August. While he was with Jenelle, he would be home alone all day,” one insider claimed.

A second source alleged that Kaiser had also been getting in trouble in school. 

“Kaiser was suspended from school for a week recently. He’s in third grade. It’s not normal at all,” the tipster claimed. “The kids are acting out and it’s a total cry for help. Everyone is sitting tight and hoping more will be revealed since Jace was removed.”

Jenelle is not permitted to speak to Jace unless the teenager initiates communication. David is banned from any interaction with Jace, per a source. 

Barbara will check in with the court later this month to assess the new living arrangement. Jenelle’s mother had full legal custody of Jace from the time he was a toddler until she granted custody of the teen back to his mother, in March 2023.
