The REAL Reason Tamar Braxton’s Fiancé Jeremy ‘JR’ Robinson Dumped Her!
Tamar Braxton’s fiancé, “Queens Court” contestant, Jeremy “JR” Robinson, has called off their engagement. He announced the split on Monday, emphasizing that the pair will “be friends and family for life” while denying that he had cheated on the singer.
“Tamar and I are no longer together. I ended the relationship to focus on getting back to positive energy & being a better person,” he wrote on his Instagram Story.
“What happened and why – that’s our private place. No, I never cheated. No, I wasn’t there when she was at her mothers [sic] place when her car was burglarized.”
The lawyer noted that he “never cared about fame,” claiming that he shot down offers to appear on the Peacock reality show “several times” before he finally agreed.
“I fell in love and it did not end how I wanted it.. so, I want to heal,” he wrote. “Tamar and I will always be friends and family for life. Thank you for respecting our privacy.”
Jeremy popped the question to Tamar during the March “Queens Court” finale episode.
“I can’t believe I found what I was looking for,” the 46-year-old artist said at the time.
Shortly after news of the engagement broke, one of the mothers of Jeremy’s children accused Tamar of creating “nothing but chaos.”
“My son does not mean ‘everything’ to her and she has not thanked God for me & truthfully, none of his baby mamas,” Anaston Jeni wrote on social media, accusing Tamar of saying “demeaning, disrespectful, & outrageous things” about how she co-parented with Robinson.
She alleged that Tamar’s behavior had caused her ex “to miss visitation weekends and birthdays.” Jeni added that the “Braxton Family Values” alum was “in no way a bonus or step mom” to the ex-couple’s 2-year-old son, Asher.
“I’m fine with people sharing their version of the story that they’ve created for themselves on social media + television, but what we will not continue to do is involve the son that I raise in someone else’s shenanigans,” she wrote.
The personal injury attorney defended the songstress after his baby mama posted her rant.
“@TamarBraxton has always been an amazing mother and spoiled my children with love!” Jeremy wrote on his Instagram Stories.
He continued — “The mother’s {sic] of my children have been put in the public eye because of me and that’s unfair to them.”
“They have been nothing short of amazing to my children. Sometimes a difference of opinion with no conversation to clear up miscommunication creates a bad cycle,” he added.
Robinson, who shares five children with four different women, wrapped his remarks, concluding — “I want everyone to be peaceful and will do my best to foster that.”
Prior to her relationship with Jeremy, Tamar was romantically linked to entrepreneur David Adefeso. The pair parted ways in 2020 after dating for two years.
A source close to the situation explained to All About The Tea:
“The decision to end the engagement wasn’t made lightly by Jeremy. But dealing with someone who exhibited narcissistic tendencies, frequently initiated arguments, and had a propensity to escalate minor disagreements into full-blown arguments became too overwhelming for him.”
The source added, “On top of these behavioral patterns, Tamar’s bipolar disorder, while not the primary reason, did amplify some of the challenging dynamics. Jeremy felt consistently drained and believed that a lifelong partnership with such a person would be untenable.”
