Deportation, Voodoo Spells, and Cheating: ‘The Family Chantel’ Returns for Final Season!
The Family Chantel returns to TLC this fall and will chronicle the shocking final chapter of Chantel Everett and Pedro Jimeno’s shattered marriage.
The couple’s nasty breakup exploded as the season wrapped last year. It appears that things only get worse as the bitter exes navigate a divorce. Cameras picked back up nine months after Pedro Jimeno made the first move to end the marriage, according to a TLC press release.
Chantel’s sister, Winter, and mom, Karen, move into the home the couple once shared as the group gears up to support Chantel amid the upset. Tensions boil over as the estranged couple tries to confront big decisions, like dividing possessions and selling the marital home.
Chantel Everett and Pedro Jimeno’s families also clash as they defend their loved ones.
The popular 90 Day Fiancé alums met in person for the first time in Pedro’s native Dominican Republic, where they later got engaged. TLC cameras chronicled Pedro coming to the United States on a K1 visa, which allowed the couple 90 days to decide whether or not to tie the knot. Chantel and Pedro wed in 2017, amid family drama and eventual physical fights.
Pedro and Chantel made a joint decision to split in May 2022. Pedro filed for divorce on May 26 but claimed that they had been separated since April 27. He said that their marriage had become “irretrievably broken.”
Chantel cited adultery as the reason for the divorce. She claimed that “domestic violence” had occurred, accusing her husband of “cruel treatment” that caused her “mental pain.” She said in her own petition that “the marriage is irretrievably broken with no hope of reconciliation.”
In a released sneak peek preview of the final season, Chantel and Pedro prepare to see each other for the first time in nine months. Pedro believes that Chantel’s family is determined to destroy his life in America and Chantel admits that while the divorce has been “the hardest time” in her life, her ex “is going to get what’s coming to him.”
Karen declares that she will protect her daughter “by any means necessary,” and reveals her decision to hire a private investigator.
“Pedro has really hurt Chantel, and I don’t think that he should just walk away scot-free,” Karen tells cameras.
Pedro says — “For a year Karen has been chasing me, behind me all the time, trying to get me deported.”
Chantel travels to Santo Domingo to have it out with Pedro and his family, and at one point screams at her ex— “You know what you did, Pedro. You were having sex with another woman!”
