‘Summer House’ Stars Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke Split, Engagement OFF!

The stars of Summer House, Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke, have decided to end their engagement.

“Carl Radke and Lindsay Hubbard have called off their engagement. The two were set to get married in November, but Carl told Lindsay he couldn’t move forward with the wedding. The breakup was filmed and will most likely play out on the next season of Summer House,” multiple sources tells ET.

Only a fortnight ago, Lindsay Hubbard celebrated with a garden party-themed bridal shower at Cathédrale in Moxy East Village, New York City. Many of her Summer House colleagues, such as Amanda Batula, Danielle Olivera, Ciara Miller, Gabby Prescod, and Samantha Feher, graced the occasion with their presence.

“I have such an amazing group of girlfriends that were not going to let me get away without having a bridal shower,” Lindsay told People of the soiree.

In August 2022, Lindsay, aged 37, and Carl, aged 38, announced their engagement to the public with a collection of touching photos shared on Instagram.

Their joint post was captioned, “YOOOOOOO 💍 #AThousandTimesYes,” signaling their excitement and commitment to each other. The proposal took place on the scenic Dune Beach in Southampton, New York, and the moment was made even more special as it was captured by Summer House cameras.

As reported by People, Carl meticulously planned the elaborate proposal as a surprise for Lindsay. She was under the impression they were joining friends for a bonfire. In reality, Carl had set up a romantic beachside picnic. The special moment was celebrated in the company of their nearest friends and family.

The path leading from the boardwalk to the beach was adorned with signs bearing the message “7 Years,” commemorating their journey together, and decorated with the lyrics of Lee Brice’s “Rumors” song. Carl got down on one knee and presented Lindsay with a stunning 3.5-carat ring designed by Nicole Rose.

“When we arrived, I mentioned to her, ‘We haven’t had a moment to ourselves this summer, so I wanted to create something memorable,'” Carl recalled. He craftily hid the ring in her beach bag and seized the moment to propose when she was momentarily distracted.

As the heartfelt proposal played out, Carl expressed his aspiration to share a lifetime with her, emphasizing that their love journey had only just commenced. Carl asked, “‘Will you marry me?’ and I said, ‘A thousand times, yes!'” Lindsay recalled, adding, “And he said, ‘Hold on, let me get the ring’ and I was like, ‘I don’t care! When should we get married? Now? I’m ready!'”

The duo, once integral parts of Bravo’s reality series Summer House since its 2017 inception, started as mere friends. Their bond transformed, leading them to elevate their relationship status in October 2021, and they publicly acknowledged their romance by January 2022. By June 2022, the pair conveyed to ET their decision to cohabit, expressing eagerness about this new chapter in their relationship.
