‘Sister Wives’ Fans TRASH Robyn and Kody Brown After the Season 18 Premiere! 

On August 20, the Brown clan returned with a fresh season of Sister Wives. Fans eagerly chimed in on the polygamous family — Kody, Meri, Janelle, and Robyn — as they attempt to find their footing following Christine Brown’s departure.

Sunday’s Season 18 premiere featured Robyn and Meri discussing Christine’s bombshell decision to leave Kody and relocate to Utah. While Robyn appears befuddled by the family break, the others, including Kody, appeared to believe that a family shakeup was imminent. 

Meri reflected back on Robyn’s entry into the plural family, telling cameras — “If she saw that we were perfect, either we were all really good actors or she had blinders on. I don’t know. And I’m not saying that to be rude. We, just, we were not perfect. But we were good.”

Robyn teared up as she shares that she had been “questioning my reality.”

“I’m starting to wonder if I didn’t really know what was happening back then. I’m just looking for answers because I don’t understand this,” she says.

Kody’s fourth wife references her previous marriage to David Jessop, calling her first marriage “a tough situation.” She explains that she was looking for a “safe family” for her children.

“When I met Kody’s family, I saw them operating as one family… I thought this was a safe place for my kids to be,” Robyn says. 

Kody gives his take on the group’s past dynamic, admitting that it had been a bumpy ride. 

“The first 20 years of our family was pretty dysfunctional. And I think because we wanted to be functional, we had a very different attitude about it,” he admits.

Kody’s second wife, Janelle, echoed a common viewer sentiment when she asserts — “Once Robyn entered the family, there was a shakeup, and I don’t know if things were ever settled again.”

Christine stopped short of blaming Robyn for the family collapse, commenting — ”We became very separate and the family traditions stopped. And I don’t know, and I’m not accusing Robyn of stopping all the family traditions. I don’t know what happened. I just know us getting together again as a family stopped.”

On social media, fans didn’t hold back, sharing their thoughts about the Season 18 premiere episode.

One person tweeted, “I 💯 get being concerned abt COVID, but Kody & Robyn are anti-vaxxers according 2 his grown children. Kody also does NOT wear a mask, nor does Robyn they’ve been spotted out in public a few x’s since he’s had COVID.Why send Ariella 2 school where she could b exposed?”

Another commented, “Robyn is always talking about what SHE pictured in the family’s future and how this isn’t it. Imagine how thes other wives felt when what THEY pictured was destroyed.”

Someone else shared, “Meri & Jenelle up an paid for most of the house and Robyn won’t even let them sit inside the dang thing!”

Another shared, “Why the wives with the deep pockets always freezing outside??”

A fan noted, “He went to a wedding (not wearing a mask) & not to his daughter’s surgery, y’all. That’s all you need to know about what kind of man Kody Brown is. It was never about COVID.”

One viewer singled out Robyn, attributing her as the reason for the family’s downfall., “90% of the kids don’t like her, 2 (now ex) wives don’t like her… what is the common denominator here, Robyn?”

“The fact that Christine is just sitting there & laughing in Kody’s face is pure gold!” Another person commented. 

Yet another commenter stated, “Robyn aka eyebrows wanted to be the favorite #SisterWives & soon she’ll be that de facto b/c she’ll be the only SisterWivesTLC. Be careful what you wish for… mwahahahaha.”

Another noted, “This ENTIRE series has been summed up with ONE sentence — “Kody used to like my turkey until he had Robyn’s.”

The premiere episode was filmed before Janelle announced that she and Kody had been “separated” for months. In January, Meri finally confirmed that after a rocky, years-long separation she and Kody had “permanently terminated” their marriage. 

Robyn, who has been slammed by fans as Kody’s “favorite wife” for years, is the TLC patriarch’s only remaining wife. 

Christine is currently engaged to Utah construction executive, David Woolley. The San Diego native is is a widower, a father of eight, and a grandfather. 

Sister Wives airs Sundays, at 10 pm ET, on TLC.
