Collin Gosselin Accuses Mom Kate Gosselin of Channeling Divorce “Anger” and “Frustration” On Him
Collin Gosselin is reflecting back on his childhood years in a new documentary and had some harsh things to say about his mother, Kate Gosselin.
The 19-year-old described his mother taking “out her anger and frustration” over her divorce from his father, Jon Gosselin, 46, in a preview of Vice TV documentary, “Dark Side of the 2000s,” which was released Friday.
Collin said in the preview — “I know my mother was going through a lot of things. I mean, a divorce and plenty of different things that can’t be easy to go through.”
“And, you know, I want to think that she needed someone to take out her anger and frustration on, and it was just kind of me,” he claimed. “I was in the way and I was there. So, she chose me.”
Collin admitted that he was not a “perfect child” but added that he believed that his “misbehaving was no different” than behavior from his brothers and sisters, twins Madelyn and Cara, 22, and sextuplet sibs, Leah, Hannah, Alexis, Aaden and Joel.
Hannah also appeared in the documentary, which will premiere on July 18. She alleged that Kate, 48, separated Collin from the group during their childhood years.
“[Collin] would be separated from us,” she claimed. “Like, he would not get to come and play outside with us. He would eat dinner at different times than us.”
“I don’t think effort was made in the home to help him learn what behavior is acceptable and what behavior is not acceptable,” the teen shared.

Collin, who spent years in a behavioral facility, moved in with his dad in 2018 and later spoke out about his estranged relationship with his mother. In November 2022, Collin told Entertainment Tonight that while their broken relationship was “unfortunate,” he was “doing very well” and won’t “sit around and mourn and cry over his non existent relationship with his mother. He revealed that he was not bothered when the “Kate Plus Date” alum did not attend the 2018 custody hearing, commenting — “If she doesn’t want to show up, she doesn’t have to.”
Last month, Kate made headlines after she reportedly gave her son the cold shoulder during his high school graduation.
Collin graduated alongside Hannah and Kate, her ex, Jon, and his ex-girlfriend, Colleen, all attended the ceremony. Kate posed for photos with Hannah during the event but never interacted with Collin, according to source who spoke to the U.S. Sun.
The insider said — “Kate has some nerve showing up at the graduation and giving only Hannah love.”
“Despite coming to the graduation it seemed more about her than the graduation itself. Kate didn’t even clap when Hannah or Collin’s names were read and they collected their diplomas.”
The source claimed — “Kate was walking around taking photos of herself – she literally was taking selfies. One of their siblings Leah joined Kate. Hannah and Alexis are very close, but she didn’t make it.”
A source previously alleged that Jon was aware that Kate would be attending the graduation, because she and Hannah had recently made amends.
