Bravo in Search of Fresh Cast Members for ‘Vanderpump Rules’ Season 11!
Bravo in Search of Fresh Cast Members for ‘Vanderpump Rules’ Season 11!
Bravo wants to add some fresh faces to the cast of Vanderpump Rules as the group rebounds from the cheating scandal that defined Season 10.
A source told Entertainment Tonight that Bravo “is looking to bring in some new cast members” for Season 11.
“They have started having outbound conversations,” the tipster told the outlet.
The insider claimed that Lala Kent and Katie Maloney “are looking in their external friend groups to see who might be a good fit for the show.”
The casting news comes after the exposure of Tom Sandoval’s months-long affair with Raquel Leviss, a shocking plot twist that surged the show’s popularity. The bar owner had been in a relationship with his then-girlfriend and co-star, Ariana Madix, for nine years when he began hooking up with the former pageant queen.
Most Vanderpump Rules cast members have signed on for another season — with one notable exception.
“They have all signed back on except for Raquel,” a snitch previously dished, adding that Leviss was currently in talks with the network.
Raquel Leviss’ role on the show remained a question mark as Season 11 production kicked off. A series of “complications” have reportedly slowed the process, per a report by TMZ.
Raquel, 28, admitted that her future on the reality show was uncertain during the Season 10 reunion.
“I don’t know. It’s in question right now. I want to,” the reality star told host, Andy Cohen.
Andy Cohen later expressed concern that Raquel may have been “really medicated” while rehashing her affair with Tom Sandoval on the reunion stage.
“I was worried for Raquel’s mental health going into the reunion. I mean, I still am,” Cohen told Variety in an episode of “Making a Scene.”
He added — “But actually, when I saw how unemotional she was, it made me think she was either really medicated or really out of touch with her role in everything.”
Raquel checked into a mental healthy facility shortly after filming the intense reunion series.
Despite Raquel’s decision to distance herself from the drama both in person and on social media, her family was reportedly hit with harsh online backlash. In May, the Bravo star’s rep told Page Six that the group had received death threats and had sought protection from the FBI.
The purported casting update came after news broke that a VPR spinoff was in the works. The new Bravo show will reportedly include former Vanderpump Rules cast members, Jax Taylor, Brittany Cartwright and Kristen Doute.
The reality series is expected to follow Jax Taylor and Cartwright, who welcomed their first child together, Cruz, in 2021, and Doute as they adjust to their new lives in the San Fernando Valley.
